The H5N1 updates in Egypt

Well now it is official , the minister of health in Egypt Hatem El-Gabali admitted that the month of March was like the month of January  2008 based on the infection rates , despite we do not have the same death rate like January till now ,thank God on that .

Still the week did not finish and we found out on Wednesday there were about 6 cases of suspected H5N1 were detained across the country mainly in  Monufia ,Fayoum and Bani Seif.

All of them are women and children .The 4 cases in Monufia were transferred to the Chest Hospital there , they are undergoing tests now to see if they were H5N1 positive or not , also samples from their domestic poultry were taken to be checked.

There is another suspected H5N1 case from Fayoum that was transferred to Cairo to the chest hospital at Abassiya ;33 years old Huda Mohammed El-Siad , a house wife.

Also another suspected H5N1 case ;25 years old Iman Rageb Abd El-Hamid Mahmoud from Bani Sweif was transferred to Cairo.

Till now there is no confirmation if these cases were H5N1 positive , do not forget the symptoms of the H5N1 are similar to the flu and the weather changes from hot to cold and from cold to hot in the past few days made many Egyptians "including me" terribly sick of cold and flu.

Another interesting news , you may know that the price of Chicken were so low in the market but it is surprisingly reached to sky this week just like the rest of the food commodities
