Obama and the Rulers of the Nile

I did not have to bet that on the News of the days in the National TV in Egypt  You will find out that President Mubarak has sent a congratulations telegram to newly elected President Obama of the United States if he has not called him on the phone !!??
Mubarak and his son are trying since the elections race to open connections with Obama.Of course Biden thanks to his opposition in Congress already met and knew them and their offers.
The 4 next years can be tough for Mubarak and son because already the Egyptian American relations are not in their best status thanks to the democratic record of the NDP. The United States in the GOP era was afraid of depending on Mubarak for fear it would lose the people and the country just like Iran but they wanted to invade Iraq and they knew that need Mubarak.
Obama mentioned some Middle Eastern countries in his speeches and Egypt was not among them , he visited also several Middle Eastern countries including Israel but he did not visit Egypt at all.I think I tackled this subject before. During that time I read that Obama did not want to be associated with dictator rulers like Mubarak , it is better to meet king Abdullah of Jordan than to meet Mubarak.
The American diplomats said that Egypt is not forgotten ,surely she is not forgotten but I think that the change will include the a change in the relations of countries like Egypt hopefully.
