Follow Up : The H5N1 return in Egypt

It is an expected thing that H5N1 would return again as already it did not leave, after all the virus inhabited Egypt officially according to the ministers statements themselves.

Now there is a new update about the H5N1 in Egypt , the family of the young lady “Samiha” who passed away because of H5N1 last Monday is currently under quarantine for fear that they got the virus too .

Again the debate about the dangers associated with the pigs farms or rather dumpsters is reopened. The WHO as I referred earlier this year asked the Egyptian government to relocate or close them. There were local calls for their closure but no one listened.Still I read from couple of days that some these farms will be relocated. This can be good but I hope the new location will be chosen perfectly based on health and environmental standards and that the lobby of the garbage collectors won’t stand against the relocation.
