If You Do Not Want Them then DIY

Egypt does not want any foreign military operations against the pirates in the Red Sea. The FM made it clear several times in the past two weeks that the Red Sea protection is the responsibility of its countries. That means it is an Arabic regional responsibility as the majority of the Red Sea Countries are Arab countries like Egypt,Sudan,Somalia, Yemen and Saudi Arabia. At last Egypt made it clear that it is ready to participate in an military action against the pirates.

Many national security and politics experts warned from the existence of the foreign western troops in the Eden Gulf. Already the NATO announced that it would send its forces to put an end for the Somali pirates once and for all. Not only the NATO will join the fight but it is also “Black Water”. Oh yes “Black Water” is providing its services to protect the ships passing by the red sea.

Now if Egypt is ready to clean the red sea and does not want any involvement from western parties at the same time why not doing it by ourselves along with sister Arab countries from Saudi Arabia, Somalia and Yemen !!??

More action then words we need it if we care really for the national security and the stability of this region.At least we can try then ask for foreign help.

  1. i agree that red sea country's navy should do it. instead of just sitting down doing nothing, but the question is "Can they do it?" we all know that there is a big lack of experience in sea battles. and pirates do it daily..

  3. @BrO, well as far as I know the Egyptian Navy with its experience and history Can do it especially it has had its biggest training ever this year according to the news , so why not !!??
    In the end of the day they are pirates

    @Hamid ,
    why are majority of the Egyptian people silent for what happening in their country not about Gaza !!??
    This is my idea , may be if they are silent about their own country ,they would not be silent about Gaza ?? already they have enough suffering in the life

  4. how about this:

    there is a lot of room for the red sea countries to work with nato and us assets.

    nato and the us (and saudi arabia) have access to surviellance systems that would allow long-term observation of pirate bases and large areas of open ocean, looking for pirate activity.

    the egpytian navy, saudi, and yemen could coordinate with those assets to make everyone's efforts more effective.

    but what then?

    these somalis are out pirating because they have no other functioning government or economy...so if we really want to stop piracy...how do we help fix the bigger problems in somalia?

  5. @fake consultant , some people especially the idiots like us prefer to solve problems on the short term not on the long term
    Fixing problem of Somalia and reviving its economy for real will put an end to all this action in the red sea
