Stop Quoting Nizar

If Late Nizar Qabbani was living among us now and he witnessed that huge barbaric assault on Gaza, which side do you think that he will take in the Arab world ??
Would he join Egypt and Saudi Arabia wit their peaceful moderate passive position  or the rest of the angry Arab world population ??
By judging his poetry and from his well known position from Camp David ,it is well known that the late famous Syrian poet will take the resistance side and he will be accused to be an Iranian agent !!
Strangely in this week Rosa Al Youssef magazine edition, I found Karm Gabr, the famous regime outspoken journalist quoting the late poet and using one of his powerful political poems “when they will announce the death of the Arabs” in his ill editorial in the magazine !!
It is a shame that he uses such powerful poem in such ill article that really kills the Arabs with its terrible hate towards Syria and Hezbollah accusing them of  being agents to Iran and this is what will kill the Arabs !!??
If Gabr really understood Nizar political position from the resistance , he would not choose him !! I doubt that he understands the real meaning of this poem !!
Nizar was clear in his position from the relations with Israel , for God Sake he did not enter Egypt except when Sadat was killed !!
Anyhow I would like to share with you a poem Nizar wrote to the pupils of Gaza in 1988 :
O’ pupils of Gaza
Care not . . about our broadcasts . .

And hear us not . .

Strike . .
Strike . .

With all your powers
And firmly in your hands take matters

And ask us not . .
We the people of arithmetic . .
And of addition . . And of subtraction . .

Your wars do carry on.. And abstain from us . .
We’re the deserters
from the service,
Your ropes do bring
And hang us . . .

We’re mortals . .
Who possess not tombs
And orphans . .
who possess not masters
We kept already to our rooms . .

And we asked you
To fight the dragon . .
We’ve diminished, before you

A thousand century . .

Does that imply that the "angry Arab world population" is NOT passive? IMHO, this is passive as it gets!
