Meet Miss Egypt 2010

Ladies and gentlemen ,here she comes Miss Egypt 2010
Miss Donia Hamed Sultan
With no introductions or announcements we were introduced Yesterday through Al Ahram Daily to Miss Donia and to her runner ups Miss Sarah El Khouly and Miss Asmaa Abdel Magoud. Miss Donia is 22 years old finance student and part time model.
Miss Sarah El-Khouly
Now Miss Donia is going to represent Egypt in the Miss Universe 2010 in the States and Miss Sarah is going to represent Egypt is Miss World 2010 in China , do not ask me why Miss Donia does not represent Egypt in the two contests because I do not know the reason and I do not care knowing actually. Egyptian women got other issues to care about.
Miss Sarah El-Khouly ,the first runner up or Miss Egypt world as written on the sachet she wore , is 22 years old half Egyptian-Croatian student currently studying at the American University in Sharjah.
There was no news about MR. Egypt 2010 thought , already we are so existed and anxious to meet him after meeting MR. Egypt 2009.

  1. They are very pretty.

I have not watched a beauty pageant in years. I heard there have been some format changes like getting rid of the swimsuit competition. Instead the contestants pose on beds wearing sexy negligees I think.

Some of the popularity of beauty contests is that viewers want to see contestants more attractive than they are made fools of. Miss Teen USA 2007 South Carolina's question and answer went viral on YouTube. Almost 44,000,000 people have laughed at the dumb blonde so far.

Q: "Recent polls have shown that 1/5 of Americans can't locate the US on a map. Why do you think that is?"
A: "I personally believe that US Americans are unable to do so because some people out there in our nation don't have maps and that I believe our education like such as South Africa and the Iraq, and everywhere, such as, and I believe that they should our education over here in the US, should help the US, or should help South Africa and help the Iraq and the Asian countries so that we will be able to build out our future for us"

  2. They are very pretty indeed!

    @Jason: I can't stop laughing! Thanks for this...;) ;)

Let's not kid ourselves: There are people out there that need these pageants.. to watch or to participate in them.
    Maybe because:
1- they are deprived of beauty at home
2- they need to reinforce the idea that women are too shallow for serious stuff
3- they strongly believe that winning a beauty pageant will open doors for them in the future
4- they have nothing better to do

I liked the 'Finance student' and 'part time model' bit!

    Mr. Egypt = Can't wait to see ;) ;)
Thanks Z for this!! too funny!

  5. @ Magda and Jason I'm just curious why so judgmental? You seem angry. Does this have anything to do with the fact that Egypt has participated every year and won neither Miss Universe,Miss World,or Miss Earth except maybe like once I believe like in 1954.
