Osama Saraya And His Expressive Apology

Last Friday Yousri Fouda added something to his unique scoops like entering a Freemason lodge and his special trip in to the world of Al Qaida , he hosted Osama Saraya on air managing to get from him in the end some sort of apology on his expression art gaffe.
To all those who think that we made a mistake , I tell you that and promise that this will not happen again !!
Of course throughout the show the man insisted that the whole world is too damn stupid to understand the message behind this piece of art : Mubarak “or Egypt” leads the US and also the EU in the peace process !!!

The fact that Fouda managed to keep his temper while interviewing Saraya is another achievement because seriously how you can keep up with a person like that !!?? Saraya was already furious on how dare Fouda did write a column in Al Masry Al Youm with the title “Al Ahram’s crime” !?? He kept reminding Fouda with what he had written in his column in  “Al Masry Al Youm” so You can imagine how this interview was like  !!
I do not know why this man could not get the idea Fouda wanted to deliver that you can send an important message through photos without any editing but through focusing on the body language and he even showed photos from the official White house Flickr stream and yet Saraya did not want or may be did not get the message.
I watched “The Hang over” for the the first time on that night and honestly it did not make me laugh like Osama Saraya who is an A Class black comedy actor , seriously it will be a disaster if he believes what he is saying !!
You must read what Fouda wrote in his Al Masry Al Youm’s column after the interview , I never thought of Saraya as cute and cuddly by the way.
Anyhow regarding Al Ahram expression art fiasco I am surprised that some journalists are defending Al Ahram’s mistake ; of course I should not be amazed that much because after all most of these journalists work or used to work in Al Ahram like for instance Magdy El-Gald and Ahmed El-Moslimany who boldly accused the Zionist lobby of using this photo to attack the huge big pyramid of Egyptian press aka Al Ahram !!  The treason accusation is the oldest trick in the book so it is not a big deal.
The idea is not in this photo that showed how far the official press can go in kissing the ass of the regime and showing the head of the state as the master of universe , the idea of glorifying our ruler is as old as the pyramids and the Ramses II monuments are the best example ,  the idea is that we got sick from the official media’s lies and hypocrisy.
Saraya who gets LE 1 million per month from his position is lucky enough that we do not pay that attention to what the most famous Egyptian  newspaper publishes from expressive news like what Ahmed Moussa has been doing in the crimes pages from false news about the opposition in the country , like what is published in local new pages ,  like what is published in the parliamentary news pages , like what is published in economy pages , like what is published in the cinema pages and like what is even published in the TV reviews page !! There was no doubt that “Ahl Cairo” TV series was the best TV series presented in the last Ramadan season according to many critics but Al Ahram newspaper did not like the idea that there was a TV series that shows another realistic dark image for Cairo than the glossy expressive image they are tying to spread and thus following the expressive art theory there was not unethical to find the TV reviews page fabricates critics’ reviews to make the TV series the worst this year !!!
By the way the expressive arts post is still active.

  1. Nice article. This sentence is weird though" He kept reminding Fouda with *his* what he had written in his column in “Al Masry Al Youm”
    * "His" must go- I think.
