To the casual onlooker the Salafi's 'support' oppressive regimes. This isn't true. What the Salafi's understand is that a nation/community/society gets the leaders it deserves. Hence rather than rise against the leader what needs to be done is to rectify the beliefs of the people, raise their religious commitments etc. With this Allah will definitely bring about the necessary change in the leadership. Leaders can only be revolted against if they profess open Kufr. They must be obeyed in what is good/right even if they are tyrants. This may not look agreeable but just study the writings of the 1st 3 generations of the Al-Sunnah. How did they react to tyrannical leaders....Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8003335.post-21183015720601390572009-02-02T08:06:00.000+02:002009-02-02T08:06:00.000+02:00@ anonymousThe Ikhwan was influenced by the Egypti...@ anonymous

The Ikhwan was influenced by the Egyptian Salafiya Movement, which included Jamal Ad-Din Al-Afghani, Mohammad Abdu, Rashid Reda, etc. However, this group was moderate and MUCH different than the "Salafis" you see today (mostly coming out of the Gulf Arab countries)Sultan1923https://www.blogger.com/profile/09061522327751008270noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8003335.post-41905745630992437832009-01-05T20:16:00.000+02:002009-01-05T20:16:00.000+02:00What is exactly the different between the Ikhwan a...What is exactly the different between the Ikhwan and the Salafis?
The ikhwan were influenced by the SALAFISM OF Muhammad Rashid Ridha, isn't that?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8003335.post-19037532851667948112008-09-20T11:11:00.000+02:002008-09-20T11:11:00.000+02:00@Sultan 1923, first of all thank you , about the S...@Sultan 1923, first of all thank you , about the Salafis , they are living in dark ages without knowing the real sharia and the real Islam , Islam is flexible religion ,a fact they are refusing
I do not see Democracy against Islam on the contrary , the Shura concept was mentioned in the Holy Quran , Prophet Mohamed "PBUH" acted several critical times on his companions opinions
The 4 successors of Prohpet Mohamed "PBUH" were chosen in a democratic process in my opinion.
The Salafis refuse anything with a foreign terminology as far as I see
the fear is that Egypt and the Egyptians are in their best time , this open mind set is losing ground thanks to the government and ignorance to channels like Al NasZeinobiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12290387395565291310noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8003335.post-49162053112926503082008-09-20T07:14:00.000+02:002008-09-20T07:14:00.000+02:00Ikhwan Muslimeen, for all its faults, is better th...Ikhwan Muslimeen, for all its faults, is better than what the Salafis have to offer. I can tell you from experience just a few days ago, Salafis on stickam bombarded me when I mentioned Islamic State can be compatible with democracy, and if I even criticized the actions of Mohammad ibn Abdul Wahhab I would've been booted.

These people are narrow minded, they believe their interpretation of Shariah is superior to anyone else, and they serve the oppressors interest. This is a very dangerous mix, and Egyptians are by nature open minded. We have a rich Islamic heritage that should not be pervaded by Salafi Sheikhs who will eventually turn on the govt supporting it right now.

Thank you so much for the wonderful articles like this zeinobia. I wonder why you don't have many comments ? is it because you write in english ? or because you are not referenced by many aggregators ? :-/

Cheikh Mohamad ghazali, allah yara7mou, used to call some of the salafis moftis as bedouins : they are narrow minded, stubborn and have little understanding of the sharia's goals! Things are halal by default, until for some reason they become haram! For many salafis, every thing is haram or bed3a until we are sure that it is halal : football, driving for women, music, democracy...

This culture of intolerance is very dangerous to our society!

on the other hand, MB must understand that they are not perfect, that they can make mistakes AND that we can agree on some subjects and disagree on others! I wish they can be responsible enough, and try to inform people and make them learn an open minded islam without relating it necessarily to the political wing of MB! If the people understand islam correctly, every one will work hard from his position and the change will come from the basis!
kayfama takounou, youwalla 3alaykom!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09518107272410157919noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8003335.post-18822473837539654722008-07-14T02:18:00.000+03:002008-07-14T02:18:00.000+03:00Greeting...I`d like to invite you to visit our sup...Greeting...

I`d like to invite you to visit our supported site :

http://www.ikhwanweb.com/

For general information , here you will find experience/facts about every thing you need to know.

Or email us by at our supported email , feel free to talk to us !:

Ikhwanweb2010@gmail.comOmarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17746813936326360915noreply@blogger.com
