Today the Ultras Ahlawy “UA07” movement is having a march from the Ahly Club to the office of the public prosecutor office to demand the rights of their martyrs in the terrible Port Said massacre.
Today is the two weeks anniversary of that horrible massacre that shocked the whole nation.
The UA07 has issued earlier this morning a set of instructions to their followers regarding today’s march on its official Facebook page.
Ultras Ahlaway and Ultras Devils “The two main Ultras groups of Ahly SC” already issued a statement with the demands of that march. The demands are as followed :
As you can see and as I told you the Ultras Ahlaway hold some of the Al Masry fans responsible for the massacre aside from the police.
From their side the Ultras Green Eagles “Al Masry SC fans” fired back at the accusations of the Ultras Ahlaway accusing them of starting this bloody war from years ago !!! The comments in that note are more than disgusting. If I translate some of these comments , you will know what I meant in that post about the agony of Port Said !!
Anyhow back to the march , well there are at least Ultras members and fans currently at Ahly club along with protesters from different political powers including the famous Salafyo Costa.
This photo was taken between Cairo Opera house and Ahly Club. I do not know who took from couple of hours ago. It says that 194 fans have stopped to support their club. The Ahly fans believe that 194 fans have been killed in the Port Said clashes while the official numbers say that they are only 74 martyrs.
The march was big , it started with 2,000 after 4 PM then grew in number in to 10,000 who blocked the October 6th bridge for nearly 30 minutes then to 20,000 protesters at the general prosecutor office.
Here is the march after reached to the public prosecutor office Down town Cairo at the Supreme court.
Here is a live stream for the protest.
The protesters are chanting against the police and Port Said “Unfortunately” demanding justice the martyrs. Despite there is no political slogans rule from time to time you find some chanting “Down with military” rule
Strangely no TV channels transferred the rally on air so far. The rally was highly organized despite the big numbers , there were human shields surrounding the march to protect it.
MP Mohamed Abu Hamed of Free Egyptians, director Khaled Blogger Alaa Abdel Fatah, Potential presidential candidate Bothaina Kamel are participating in the rally.
Today is the two weeks anniversary of that horrible massacre that shocked the whole nation.
The UA07 has issued earlier this morning a set of instructions to their followers regarding today’s march on its official Facebook page.
- The march will be peaceful.
- No political or partisan slogans whether chants or banners are allowed.
- All the UA07 should come in time wearing the T-shirts of the UA07.
- All the members of UA07 participating in the march should follow the instructions and orders of the UA07 leaders .
Ultras Ahlaway and Ultras Devils “The two main Ultras groups of Ahly SC” already issued a statement with the demands of that march. The demands are as followed :
- To hold the ministry of interior and its officials “The minister of interior , the head of Port Said Security directorate and the head of the CSF” sector responsible for all the security of the football game as well the governor of Port Said and the manager of Port Said stadium.
- To purge the ministry of interior and restructure it completely.
- To stop the talk about third party and infiltrators because those who committed these crimes are some of the Al Masry club fans whom they demand the security forces to arrest and punish quickly otherwise they “Ultras Ahlaway” will be put in position to take back their rights by their own hand.
As you can see and as I told you the Ultras Ahlaway hold some of the Al Masry fans responsible for the massacre aside from the police.

This will be a great test of how far the rule of law has advanced in Egypt. If someone is held accountable its a good sign. If its whitewashed, the opposite.

ReplyDeleteBy: Ahmed M. EL NAHAS – Castelfiorentino, February 14th 2012.
Ever since the plotted cruel massacre of Port Said soccer game, and almost all the news include a word that is completely far from being of Arabic origin or even deriving from any Arabic dialect.. “ULTRAS”.. A Latin term, “Ultrà ”, conjugated as per English plural by simply adding an “S”! It doesn’t make sense, same as most of the tons of lexical inventions invading our collective intellect through the barbaric hordes of the modern communication technologies' jargon that we can see on internet, in sms texting, on blogs and so on.. Like encrypted ciphers.. Known to a closed circle of few individuals forming together a single “Clan” following the same “Cult”.
So, knowing that the Latin word, written “Ultrà ”, means something like: farther than, more than, beyond or on the other side of; I decided to find how the term devolved to become almost synonym of “Fan” or “Supporter”.
We know for certain that the term was used for the first time in modern English language back in June 1941 by the “British Military Intelligence” for wartime signals intelligence obtained by "breaking" high-level encrypted enemy radio and teleprinter communications at the “Government Code and Cipher School” at “Bletchley Park”.
"Ultra" eventually became the standard designation among the western Allies for all such intelligence. The name arose because the intelligence thus obtained was considered more important than that designated by the highest British security classification then used “Most Secret” and so was regarded as being “Ultra Secret”.
At the closure of WWII, the term hibernated for long till mid sixties waking up with the new trend of manipulated fanatic sport cheering. At first British Ultras were all non-violent groups, focussed with the sole purpose of getting behind their team, through traditional flag displays, chanting, and similar, strictly following four key points to being an Ultra, all of which must be obeyed, these are:
• Never Stop singing or chanting during a match, regardless of the scoreline,
• Never sit down during a match,
• Attend as many games as possible, home and away, regardless of distance/cost, and
• Absolute loyalty to a particular stand.
Later on, and as a second phase of the process, those cheering groups were encouraged at the time by the Labour Party in Liverpool, Glasgow and other cities, to start a multitude of “Brotherhoods” (which could later on become active militias) easy to maneuver and mobilise for whatever purpose, social or political.
In a latter phase, they were manipulated through extremist songs, anthems, signs and training to increase their volatile violence we saw by the hooligans in the eighties.. Same technique is used to reorganise the "Neo Nazi" groups and violent "Black Block" International Brotherhoods.
The practice became contagious to many countries.. Remember “Al Kataeb” Political Party in Lebanon during the sixties and the seventies? Well it started as an “Amateur Football Team” which became a club that, further on and by adopting the same practices used in England, grew-up to evolve into the iron arm of the extreme conservative right, grouping together all the Christian Fractions, fighting for ten years the Muslim Coalition bounding Palestinians to Sunni to Drouz, in what became known as the “Lebanese Civil War” of the seventies.
We know from the released documents of the White House and of the British Foreign Office, that the Lebanon Civil War was a successful MOSSAD plan executed at the time under the direct supervision of Ariel Sharon!
Now is there any similarity or parallel with the “Egyptian Ultras”????
Take care my friends.. Beware of the wolf.
Pass On The Word.
Sorry but since the XIX century Ultra was used in France to designate royalist militants and later far-rightists, which is today the accepted meaning in English today. As to the Lebanese civil war beeing a Mossad plot, recent events show that Arabs do not need outside intervention to start a civil war.
