Ramadan Arabian Nights 2023: Tale of Mando “The Garbage collector” #EP9

Ramadan Karim 😀

We continue our tale for this year, the tale of Mando.

Now there is a little change I must inform you about.

I told the Chat GPT to change the copyediting style from the extreme classical style of Sir Richard Francis Burton from the 19th century to a classical “One Thousand and One Nights” Book style only. The results as you will see down after the break are easier and simple yet classical tales book style.

I hope you enjoy it.

Anyhow before we go to the ninth episode in our tale for this year, you can refresh your memory with your last night’s episode

Now to the ninth episode of our tale or the 471st episode in Egyptian state radio’s One Thousand and One Nights show

The synopsis

As garbage collector Tanbal gazed into the innocent face of the infant, he felt a sudden stirring within his heart. A feeling he had never experienced before, and yet he knew it all too well. It was love, pure and simple.

Without a moment's hesitation, Tanbal took the baby boy into his arms, and as he held him close, he felt a strong desire to care for him as his own. He knew that his noisy wife, Zumara, might not take kindly to this sudden addition to their already sizable brood, but he could not bring himself to abandon the helpless child.

As he presented the child to Zumara, she was initially taken aback, for she already had two young boys of her own to care for.

However, as she too gazed into the baby's sweet face, she too was struck by the same intense feelings of love and compassion that had overcome her husband. And so, it was settled. They would adopt the boy as their own and raise him alongside their other children.

And so, Mando, as he was named, grew up in the loving embrace of his adoptive parents. Meanwhile, Sheikh Saber and his wife Marzouka, the real parents of the child, were left to mourn their loss.

Despite being compensated by the king with a sum of one hundred pounds, their sorrow could not be eased. For what good is money when the loss of a child is concerned?

Years passed, and Mando and Wardshan, the daughter of the King, grew up on opposite ends of the city.

While Wardshan lived a life of luxury and privilege, Mando was the son of a lowly garbage collector, living a life of poverty and hard work.

Despite this, Mando was a happy child, full of mischief and energy.

He preferred spending his days caring for the horses at the stables instead of collecting garbage like his brothers.

Meanwhile, Minister Shahlan was determined to secure a betrothal between the princess and his son, Arman.

But the King had other plans. He refused to pressure his daughter into any decision and left the choice of her future groom to her.

What fate has in store for all of them, only time will tell.

Here is the episode televised

Till tomorrow night inshallah.
