#Jan25 Reaches to the new valley

We are paying a lot of attention to Al Tahrir and the main cities in Egypt and forget that the revolution is spreading through the country and how the regime is cracking it.

News reports came yesterday that there was a huge uprising in the New valley governorate , yes the New Valley’s biggest city or rather oasis Kharga witnessed protests that were cracked violently.

At least 3 were confirmedly killed while hundreds were injured yesterday and today there are reports as well that there was a massacre at the New valley prison in Kharga. The injured were transferred to Asuit governorate as far as I read.

According to what I understood the story is another result of Police mistreatment and it started with Dr. Adham Hasson who owns a tourism company in the New Valley who plead the new minister of interior Mahmoud Wagdy to save the Kharaga city from the corruption of the chief inspector in the city who used to insult and abuse the citizen live on ON TV.

Next day the officer was transferred and the people were happy then he returned back along with his officers insulting people telling them they were not men. “We are speaking about oriental and Bedouin culture”  The people encircled the police station and threw rocks at it , the police force used rubber ammo then live ammo.Things got bad to worse and sooner prisoners of New Valley escaped while the state security there used thugs . It is the same scenario happened in the valley of the Nile taking place at our western desert !!

Up till now things are not clear but it seems things are intense. I do not think any journalist will be able to go there , NPR reporter was not allowed to go to Suez for God sake !!

The story is developing , the revolution is getting bigger and bigger , thank you so much Mubarak

Here are few video clips from Kharga

Protests in New Valley governorate

Burning down the chief inspector of New Valley

We are not against the police , we want police force that treats as we are part of them and they are part of us.

More updates to come insh Allah.

  1. So what i had to this point thought was a creative set of tactics used by the govt. turns out to be a playbook that they're using in the exact same sequence in every single city? Rubber bullets -> live rounds -> Prisoners -> Baltagiya.

I suppose Iranian Mossad are behind all this. Serves me right for overestimating the government.

  2. Thank you Zeinobia for keeping us informed. Here in Europe news are not very ample but they start being less one-sided as in the first they. Pity that they still see things in terms of Moslims-not Moslims, thus reducing the whole issue of dictatorship and protest to just one fact of the whole.

My hearth is with you, your country and all of its people.

  3. FYI:
    From debkafile,
The arrival of US naval, marine and air forces in the Suez Canal's Greater Bitter Lake indicated that the crisis was quickly swerving out of control.
debkafile's military sources report that the American force consists of the USS Kearsarge Expeditionary Strike Group of six warships. Helicopters on some of their decks are there to carry and drop the 2,200 marines of the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit which has been bolstered by two special operations battalions.
The flotilla has a rapid strike stealth submarine, the USS Scranton, which is designed to support special forces' operations.
The US strike force has taken up position at a strategic point opposite Ismailia between the west bank of the Suez Canal and its eastern Sinai bank. It is poised for rapid response in the event of the passage of about 40 percent of the world's marine freights through the Suez Canal being threatened or any other extreme occurrence warranting US military intervention.

  4. Trouble is that it is so difficult to get reliable news from there, it is so remote. So the police will be even more brutal in clamping down, because they know that no one can watch them. Just proves what the live coverage from Tahrir and Alexandria has managed to do - restrain them at least. In Kharga they almost don't stand a chance. That is why this reporting is so important. Spread the word everywhere!

  5. One week to the day that it turned bloody at Tahrir and the regime injured and killed the poeple. Let's never forgot those that fell for the future of a NEW EGYPT.

  6. Not good... not good at all.

Proves that one of the worst things we have in Egypt is the relationship between citizens and police
