Ramadan Arabian Nights 2019 : King Haras Episode 4 "The Dervish"

Good evening or Good afternoon or Good morning where ever you are now and reading this post.
Tonight is a new Arabian night.
We are going to continue our first tale for this Ramadan, the tale of king Haras.
To refresh your memory and to know where we stopped, I recommend you go back and hear last night’s episode.
Now without further ado, you can hear to the fourth episode or episode no.183 of the Egyptian State Radio’s One Thousand and One Nights show in Arabic after the break so we can know how the rich merchant’s son ended up as a blind beggar in one foreign city once upon a time.

Before he was a blind beggar, he was the healthy young man who inherited a fortune from his parents and decided to go on a big trade caravan made of 80 camels and 20 slaves.

The dervish goes to find the treasure

Resting at an oasis, he saw a Darvish that appeared to him telling him that there was a huge treasure that would appear when a big star showed up in the sky.
They agreed to help each other in getting that treasure, splitting it between them.

Then the Dervish disappeared and our young man’s assistant told him that he was dreaming.
Next night as the young man is getting ready to sleep when the Dervish appears to him again reminding him of their deal. Surprised and thrilled to see him again, the young man follows the Darvish trying to catch a falling star in the desert as it will lead them to the treasure.
The young man already swears that he divided the treasure between him and the old man equally and that they will split his 80 camels between them; 40 camels each to transfer the treasure.

The falling star falls and opens a deep door into the earth. The two go in to there while it is a pitch black but it is no problem for the Dervish as he says some spells and viola that treasure room is lit with thousand lights.
Our young man is dazzled by the size of the gold and diamonds in the treasure but he is surprised to find the Dervish searching for an empty glass bottle. When the young man asks him about it, he tells that it is not his business as he has got his share of the treasure already.

The young man returns back to his camp to get the camels but in the way, he begins to have dark thoughts fearing that his 20 slaves will turn against him and will steal his treasure.
In a dark moment, he decides to poison his 20 slaves.

It does not stop here as greed becomes him and now he is wondering why the dervish wants 40 camels to carry his share in the treasure, dervishes do not care for wealth.
Once again greed controls him and he decides to let the dervish have only 30 camels instead of 40 camels.
Someone will pay the price of that greed , tomorrow we will know who and how
