This is the time of our monthly post about the coronavirus pandemic and its numbers in graphs.
The official numbers of coronavirus cases in July 2021 in Egypt continued to decline sharply to their lowest point since August 2020 following a sharp and steady decline in June 2021.
During the Eid in an Alexandria's public beach "Getty" No social distancing or masks, most of them have not been vaccinated yet :( |
Now to June's official numbers' graph.
Disclaimer: According to Minister of Health Hala Zayed in early January, the official numbers of cases represent between 10%-15% of the real number of cases worldwide Egypt included.
First, the official daily cases of coronavirus in Egypt.
Personally and unofficially, there was a decline in the cases but not that low.
Now at the end of July, we began to see a very low increase in the cases officially with official warnings that we most probably will have our coronavirus fourth wave peak in September.
I expect the cases to increase in August.
In July, Egyptians acted as if there is no coronavirus for real with huge events, parts and gatherings whether in official celebrations or at the beaches or concerts across the country madly.
I expected that following the second half of July we will begin to hear more cases and actually it happened, unfortunately.
Again those numbers represent the patients who enter the ICUs in designated coronavirus isolation hospitals in the country in critical condition according to official statements, not the mild cases of coronavirus or those who receive treatment at home.
Moving to the fatalities official numbers.
Just like the daily official toll of cases, the fatalities numbers declined that month.
Moving to the fully recovered patients, which is the good news in this pandemic.
Unfortunately, we do not have any official data or breakdown per month about the Egyptians who have been vaccinated or have received a single dose so we can compare it with other months.
Be sure to follow Egyptian Chronicles live Coronavirus coverage for the month of August.
Just stay safe and register yourself to get vaccinated if you are in Egypt as soon as possible inshallah.
