Ramadan Arabian Nights 2023: Tale of Mando “Guilty Mando” #EP20

Now, are you familiar with the history of One Thousand and One Nights?

The book was actually first mentioned in Arab Islamic history in the 9th century by the renowned historian Al-Masudi.

Dubbed Herodotus of the Arabs, he referenced in the year 947 a collection of mythical tales from Persia, India, and Greece, which was then known as "A Thousand Tales" or "A Thousand Nights."

Tonight, we have got the 482nd episode of "One Thousand and One Nights" radio show, with tonight's episode being the 20th night of the season.

But before we dive in, let's take a quick look back at last night's episode.

Synopsis

In the wrath of his anger, King Kahlan summoned his daughter, Princess Wardshan and stormed along with her and Vizier Shahlan into the El-Sabr palace where Mando resided

Without a second thought, the King accused Mando of being a low-life thief, to which Mando cluelessly rejected the accusation and demanded an apology.

In an attempt to prove his innocence, Mando allowed the King's men to search the palace and his belongings. The search led to the discovery of the crown jewel in one of Mando's Abayas, leaving the young man perplexed and unaware of how it got there.

The King confronted Mando and demanded to know if he had stolen the jewel or if the princess had given it to him willingly.

In tears, Princess Wardshan confessed to giving the jewel to Mando, but her father refused to believe her, violently pulling her from her dress and exposing a birthmark on her left shoulder. He angrily accused his daughter of having an affair with the garbage collector's son and ordered Mando's arrest.

Despite his pleas of innocence, Mando was thrown into prison.

Days later, Princess Wardshan, disguised in a scarf and a long abaya, visited the prison with her friend Tamerhan. She switched places with Mando, who took her abaya and scarf to cover himself and stayed behind in the cell.

Tamerhan informed Mando of the time and place where he would meet Wardshan, and the two planned to escape the kingdom and live together forever. Mando successfully escaped, leaving the princess behind in his place.

At the specified time and place, Mando heard a sound, and what it was, God willing will be revealed tomorrow.
