Please Make him shut Up

I can’t take it any more from Ahmed Abu El-Gait. This man is the worst FM Egypt had since establishing this ministry.

He is not a diplomat, I do not know what he can be but he can’t be a diplomat, he is anything but a diplomat. He loses his temper easily as far as I can see , I do not know if it is because of his personality or because he knows his position is weak !!??

Yesterday he had an interview with famous Lebanese TV Host Gisele Khoury on Al Arabiya Channel and God Knows I do not watch this channel usually but I had to when I saw his face, I wanted to see him and what he was going to say.

Khoury in general seemed to give him hard time, he did not answer any of her questions completely as he should. For instance:

  • he  was asked what Egypt can do for the war in Gaza and he answered her by launching attack against Hassan Nasrallah and his so-called  insult to the Egyptian army !!?? She had to repeat the question and he answered in a very lame talk.
  • His definition of resistance showed the mentality we are dealing with.
  • Yes he is a FM but he should know what is happening in his own country before speaking big words ,since when the MB are in bad position because of Nasrallah and that they refused his talk  !!?? I do not recall this.
  • The Egyptian People chose Peace and not resistance answering Nasrallah !! They chose it in 1977 as if they chose it in Democracy !! For God Sake Mr. Politician You know that very well from the cons of Camp David is that the Egyptian people did not choose in democratic poll but rather it was achieved by the President’s order !!??
  • Iran wants to control the region so it would have a bargain with Obama !!??
  • Hamas are responsible ,strangely from 48 hours Mubarak said that Israel was fully responsible from the escalation !!
  • His talk showed the gap between us and the other countries in the Arab world ,like Syria and Qatar. As the FM he should not talk in this ill manner about the Syrian FM. But again this goes back to his personality and understanding to diplomacy.

He reminds  me with his President’s historical interview with Khoury from couple of years.

  5. Sorry to disagree with you, but I really commend Egypt for such a wise FM - Mr. Aboul-Gheit is very knowledgeable, and he tells the truth, even if you don't like to hear it, and that is that the fault of what is happening in Gaza lay on Hamas' lap. They are paying the consequences of their stupid policy of launching rockets onto Israel. What would you do if the guy next door starts throwing rocks on you? Won't you react??

  7. I agree he should be sacked ASAP.

Anonymous, yes the rockets were stupid, but they weren't the ones who started it. I suppose you don't consider a blockade a violation of the truce? One that Egypt is aiding Israel in maintaining ?

I think the massacres we've seen so far due to the bombing are going to pale in comparison to what the Israeli troops and tanks will do once they're sent inside Gaza which they seem to be preparing for
