Follow Up : Why Khalid Was Murdered !!??

First of all from two hours ago Alexandrians held the martyr prayer  in Sidi Gaber mosque for late Khalid Said in a complete defiance for what the ministry of interior has claimed that he had a criminal history who died due to suffocation !!
Currently there was a peaceful protest according to eyewitnesses who tweet in the scene that the police did not come near for fear to increase the people's anger more and more
Second the ministries of interior has claimed that 28 years old Khalid had some criminal record despite according to all his relatives and neighbors he was the good middle class boy next door with no political interest or criminal interest what so ever.
The MOI has claimed that he died from suffocation as hinted above , it supports the official MOI story that Khalid swallowed a bag of narcotics when police officers approached him and that he died of an overdose !! Regarding the photos in morgue  , the ministry goes on and says the torture and abuse remarks in his head are actually the autopsy procedures !! The net café owner swore that it was not true and he is already to testify on what happened that day.
The ministry of justice will announce his complete autopsy by today and hopefully it will be much more realistic
Khalid now is dubbed by media and activists alike "The Martyr of emergency law"
Khalid's family has revealed what it believes the real motive of these agents to kill him , they believe that he was killed in revenge after the plain cloth police agents knew that he got a video that shows their involvement along with other officers in narcotics trade at the Sidi Gaber police station itself !! Khalid wanted to publish the video only but his relatives advised him not to do it.
Already today his family has released that video and it is making a lot of impact in Alex and outside it. You can see it below
The video which Khalid got and may have killed because of it
It shows one of the plain clothes agents involves in the murder, 'Awad' along Police officer 'Ahmed Othman' who wears black jeans. The voice quality is not good and up till now we do not know who filmed this clip from inside the Police station. As far as I understand there are packages of narcotics "Hashish" confiscated by the station but rather of considering them as evidence Police officer 'Ahmed Othman' was distributing the packages on the plain clothes agents so they could re-sell them again , not only that he gave them small amounts for their own pleasure !!
I do not know what the MOI will claim this time especially with the huge anger in Alexandria which I admire.
Tomorrow activists will attempt to organize a protest in front of the MOI HQ in Cairo at 5PM Cairo local
time.  You can find directions here if you want to participate.
Updates#1 :
  1. It turned out that Khalid was a blogger , here was his blog , it was not a political one as you can see.  It is not Khalid's blog , I really apologize to its owner
  2. Amnesty international has addressed the issue.
  3. Here are couple of photos and a video from today's protests  from Youm 7
  4. Here is a video from 6th April Youth

    1. This disgusting crime is yet one more scandal and proof of corruption and brutality still happening at the top in our beloved country. Even if he had a criminal record, it's not an excuse for this.
Our country has been stinking for too long. Police in Egypt seem to believe they are protected...mmm are they? we shall see...

    2. I haven't heard of this story except on your blog, but after all the misrepresentations of fact you did over the flotilla thing, is anyone supposed to take your word for this? Or for anything else? You've already proven you will say anything at all, as long as it suits your agenda.

    3. I wouldn't trust the Egyptian police as far as I could throw them but something seems wrong here. We can see they know they are being filmed ... are the Egyptian police really so stupid they would let themselves be filmed committing a crime?

    4. Programmer Craig....

the issue is the main topic everywhere either on blogs, tweets, or non-governmental media

    5. lOOl @ programmer craig... frankly speaking this "I haven't heard of this story except on your blog" shows how a good follower of the egyptian press and media you are :-DD

man... the story makes the headlines of most of the egyptian newspapers ... Besides, I saw no misrepresentations of fact on Zeinobia's coverage of the flotilla story :-)

    8. @idiot craig: the story was reported in international media as well. If you do not trust Z why are you following her blog!! or do you generally only believe Zionist and right-wing American media, ironically both well-known for misrepresenting stories?!!!!!

About the video: any one who studied law knows that a confiscated evidence "7erz" must be kept as found. We saw several points that raise enough questions:
      - loads of ppl coming in and out of the room!!
      - officer wearing black top is clearly counting the money against the number of those in the room, why would you do that unless you are calculating how the money will be divided?
-The boxed full of drugs are touched and tampered with and you can hear someone who was apparently given a piece stating its "3ashan el mazag"!
-Its not clear that the ppl are aware they are being filmed, except for the guy with if I remember correctly, wearing a black leather jacket who came in later. That man is the only one who looked the camera straight and nodded twice to whomever was shooting the footage.
Even if those in the room were aware they are being shot, it is normal we have seen loads of videos involving drug raids and even torture of citizens, featuring police officers and their aids and in most cases it turns out they shot them by themselves.
      - Last but not least, in our lovely country the truth isnt unknown the problem is who has the guts to say it out loud and clear. Read the comment below the youtube video, someone knows those in the video very well and read what that person has written.
Even if Khaled was that monster of a human, he did nothing to merit what happened to him. Torture is unacceptable and illegal even if its inflicted on a criminal. Moreover, according to criminal law a citizen has the right to defend his life against an authority acting illegal.
The idiots in the ministry of interior and the idiots of this regime wont leave and wont change, this will turn into a civil war sooner than later. They think they can do that and the young will be scared, well when you deal with the young you need to understand these incidents only make them more fearless especially those who have nothing more to loose.

    9. This is not Khaled's blog. The blogger says that on the home page, that it is a mix up and his name is Khaled Mohamed from Morocco

    10. i am soo happy that people in Alex are protesting and I hope justice will be served for late Khalid. everyone should go out and protest on the street, this could happen to any of them and their families if the police is using their power to kill not protecting its citizen!!!

    11. Squiggles,

"frankly speaking this "I haven't heard of this story except on your blog" shows how a good follower of the egyptian press and media you are :-DD"

I never claimed to be such.

"man... the story makes the headlines of most of the egyptian newspapers ... Besides, I saw no misrepresentations of fact on Zeinobia's coverage of the flotilla story :-) "

Then you're just as biased and dishonest as she is. What can I say?

If this is a representative sample of what Egypt's opposition is all about, then God help you. You're better off with Mubarak. At least he isn't a psychopath.

      ReplyDelete
    12. @Craig: how could you claim that you have many Egyptian friends and mean well and then write something like you are better off with Mubarak?!! especially in a comment on a news about how the police supported by Mubarak and allowed to act as thugs by him are responsible for the killing of a citizen!!! Man, you are disgusting

    14. Anonymouse,

"how could you claim that you have many Egyptian friends and mean well and then write something like you are better off with Mubarak?!!"

When did I ever claim to have "many" Egyptian friends? I don't even KNOW any Egyptians. I used to know a few, but that was a very long time ago.

Why do you keep putting words in my mouth?

"especially in a comment on a news about how the police supported by Mubarak and allowed to act as thugs by him are responsible for the killing of a citizen!!!"

And I'm supposed to take Zeinobia's word for it? After all the misinformation she has published on other matters on this blog? Why would I take her version at face value when I know she can't be trusted to be honest?

      "Man, you are disgusting"

Well, thanks for the input. Whatever I am, I'm not a liar which puts me head and shoulders over most the folks here :P

And saying Egypt is better off with Mubarak is a simple statement of fact. People get the leadership they want and deserve... and anyone can see what kind of leadership Egyptians on this blog want and deserve, can't they? And if y'all get bit, in 10 years you'll be whining and crying and asking for the international community to come save you from yourselves. But why the hell should we? You jump from the frying pan into the fire, then guess what? Time to burn.

    15. Well, go back and read what you always throw on us here, how you know Egyptians and they dnt think like that ect. Personally, I dnt care except to reveal how much of an awful person and liar you are.
Second, this is not a news agency, its a blog spot, if you do not trust Z and think we are mostly liars who twist the info here then well go find your news somewhere else and well Im sure in your little mind any news refuting what is coming from an Israeli source must be inaccurate, after all you come from the country that shouted WMD in Iraq only to turn out to be a lie and what did the ppl who claim they run their country through "real" democracy did? nothing.
"Statement of fact"?!! Are you God? do you know if what comes after Mubarak is better? is this life better for those who died thanks to the corruption of ppl chosen by him?!! Is this life better for those like Khaled who lost their lives thanks to the brutality of out-laws calling themselves security? and on top of it they didnt even get the chance to have a fair investigation conducted?!!
No, you are way at the back, you are full of hate and you dnt keep it to your self but you come to spread it here. You called most of us liars and Z on top but I wonder, why do you come here?
Last but not least, who called for int community to do any thing?!! We the ppl of the region gave up on the int community all together a long time ago. We also know very well that those very countries that talk day and night about human rights have shown their true faces on such matters with their own actions be it how they dealt w those detained in Getmo or in Europe and also when it comes to supporting the call for "real" democracy in Egypt. We know the govs and the officials are in bed with Mubarak bec they think sustaining this regime protects their interests in the region ect and Im telling you, you guys havent learnt any thing from Iran. So, no we dnt want the help of int community, your country and not ppl like you but we do rely on humans w a lively mind and heart to stand by what is fair and just regardless and Im sure you do not belong to that last group.

You're an American and a Zionist, the 2 biggest thieves and liars in history. I wonder what's the reason for your obsession with zeinobia and her blog. For someone who seems to dislike her and insult her a lot, you seem to have a strange compulsion to come back here just to state your typical "oh you're a liar. Oh you're deceptive" propaganda on every single blog she makes. I suggest you take your strange obsessive tendencies to a place where your lies may actually be taken seriously or at least as entertainment

    17. the problem is we see things distorted according to our preferences

maybe if this blog was the only one reporting the tragic news about khaled's death it would be quite doubtable, but the news is everywhere and personally I think it looks plausible, at least demanding a trial to find the truths is a must

as for craig, I agree with u that we deserve mubarak, we do as much as americans deserved george w bush, but americans r a bit luckier becuase ur grand grand parents put a law preventing a president from more than 2 terms, yet this is something that neither u nor anyone living can claim credit for, u just got lucky being born in a politically more stable place and u're acting as if u can take credit for it
