Austrian Die Presse has published recently an interview with Dr. Mohamed ElBaradei “I have to warn you that the Google translation is pathetic”. There is nothing new as Dr. ElBaradei is constant in what he said since day one that he will not run for presidency in Egypt as long as the elections are not democratic and that he is not looking for presidency but democracy for Egypt. I do not know why Al Masry Al Youm left all the interview and focused on the presidency thing in its headline despite we all know that ElBaradei does not look for the chair and if I may say that gives him more creditability.
Mohamed ElBaradei is defending the Muslim brotherhood , I hope that the MB rethinks about its deals with the regime and stands with that man for the sake of the country for real if they are truly sincere.
For the second time after his interview with the Daily Beast , ElBaradei speaks about the Arabs’ disappoint with Obama , well even Obama’s people are disappointed with him but before your imagination takes you faraway ElBaradei is disappointed with the Palestinian-Israeli talks and how America and Europe are ignoring the lack of human rights in Egypt.
It is expected that Dr. ElBaradei will return after the parliamentary elections in December to Cairo.
I'm sooo disappointed with him, I was one of his devoted supporters and signed the change petition but day after day he proved that he's more isolated from us than we ever thought. I don't believe this country will change by tweets or facebook supporters, and right now, he hasn't been offering anything else!
ReplyDeleteThis country is headed forward to Gamal and his chorus, and we as usual are waiting for God's fate!
@True Malak, this country wont also change by ppl like you waiting for El Baradie to do their job and complaining when he doesnt do wt they shld be doing. The man is correct real change=normal ppl a good number of them working for it not just waiting for Super man
ReplyDeleteI don't blame him. He has said it many times, if people want change, he will be there and by their side and when he first called for boycotting the already rigged election what happened? did any of the opposition parties stand by him? Did the MB agree to boycott? all the major opposition (except maybe for Nour's Elgad) chose to participate in Mubarak's seasonal farce play.
ReplyDeleteWhat is he supposed to do? he is just one man and he isn't the saviour the desperate youth are longing for.. nort there will be any saviours and that amendments petion has no legal standing whatsoever..it was a media stunt and probably he was hopiing that a million signatures can put enough westren pressure on the despot. He can't take that petition to the supreme constitution court and file a suit demanding those changes or enforcing them on the government.. as a man of law he is fully aware of that.

What does God have to do with this?
El Baradie political approach reminds me of Don Quixote's approach to chivalry who believed every word to be true, despite the fact that many chivalrous events were clearly impossible.
ReplyDeleteThe Canadian.
I was being sarcastic here, I'm actually criticizing that ppl are always waiting for a solution from God!
