Watch “Inside the Battle of Jerusalem” .. inside the battle of Sheikh Jarrah

Please watch this short documentary produced by Vice News about the recent events in Palestine that started technically in the small neighbourhood of Sheikh Jarrah in occupied East Jerusalem and the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The video is focusing on the case of Sheikh Jarrah and its Palestinian residents who are facing illegal forced evictions.

The documentary includes the storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque on video.

I was following Vice News reporter Hind Hassan on that day the Israeli forces stormed the Aqsa Mosque from two weeks ago.

It turned out that she was doing this short documentary on Sheikh Jarrah but things got escalated fast.

Now this short documentary got a special appearance of the Arab World’s favourite Fauci aka Jacob Fauci or Yacoub Fauci

We knew more information about our infamous blatant illegal settler from New York’s Long Island.

Unsurprisingly, he is a Kahanist Trump support and COVID-19 truther.  It is like a whole package !!

Here is Jacob’s infamous moment of fame or rather a moment of truth admitting what he and other radical Jewish settlers are doing in Palestinian territories.

Now watching Jacob and that Israeli Kahanist city council member you may know that Israel has a huge radical problem and it is not a surprise that it reached this degree because of its apartheid nation.

By the way, that song that made the Israeli police forces go coco is actually originally a Sheikh Emam resistance song "I call you" produced in 1984. Its lyrics are based upon a poem by famous Palestinian poet Tawfik Ziad aka the Poet of Protest.

What you heard in the video was its most famous cover by Lebanese singer Ahmad Kaabour and the remix of the Lebanese composer and singer Marcel Khalifa.

The documentary is good but it is the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Israel’s apartheid policies.

I believe Sheikh Jarrah struggle and the storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque were intended by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to escalate things and to push Hamas and friends to fire rockets but things escalated fast and went out of control.

Currently, Egypt managed to reach a ceasefire between the Palestinian factions above them Hamas and Israel unconditionally since last Friday with huge US support making Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and his administration the true winner of this fight round politically surprisingly.

Egypt was already playing a role since the start of the attack of Gaza noticeably.

Speaking about the latest developments in Palestinian territories, since 9 May 2021 there have been 1,500 Palestinian who has been arrested. Israeli forces started on Saturday a mass arrest campaign in the green line of 1948 Palestinian cities arresting hundreds of Palestinian youth who reportedly participated in the protests in the past two weeks.

The oasis of democracy in the Middle East is such a mirage.

The victims of the Israeli attack on Gaza increased to 253 people who have been killed including 66 children,39 women including “3 pregnant women“ and 17 elderly whereas 1,948 others have been injured.

Back to Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood “You know that it was named after Saladin’s special doctor in Jerusalem Sheikh Prince Hossam El-Din El-Jarrahy. “Jarrah” means surgeon.

In 1948, Sheikh Jarrah witnessed a strong battle between Palestinian Jerusalemites and the Zionist gangs that were officially designated as terrorist organizations by the UK and it ended up in a victory for the Palestinians who kept their neighbourhood.

We are back to square one and the families may get attacked and forcibly kicked out of their homes or evicted by a biased illegal court order that violates international laws.

Internationally, East Jerusalem is an occupied territory that Israel should withdraw immediately according to the Security Council resolution 242.

On 30 May 2021, the Israeli Supreme Court will issue its verdict.

It is worth mentioning that Jordan presented 14 agreements and important documents to the Palestinian families of Sheikh Jarrah that prove their right to live in the neighbourhood in April so they can present it to the court.

In 1956, Jordan had an agreement with the UNRWA “UN’s Palestinian refugees agency” to establish houses in Sheikh Jarrah for 28 families of refugees who lost their homes and towns in 1948.

The Jordanian government which controlled East Jerusalem then had signed agreements and contracts that gave the families ownership rights of the houses and land later but it did not register those contracts in time due to the six days war but according to international laws, the Palestinian ownership of houses and land is legit.

Currently, there are 500 Palestinians in this neighbourhood who do not sleep literally.

Jordan already sent a memo to Israel in May reminding it officially that its supreme court’s rulings as I said earlier illegal in occupied East Jerusalem.

The battle is not over for Sheikh Jarrah so please support its true residents.

FYI you can follow Muna El-Kurd’s brother Mohamed El-Kurd on Twitter to follow the updates of Sheikh Jarrah residents’ fight against right-wing settlers.

  1. Forced evacuation and genocidal attacks in Gaza must end now! As if the world was less bleak due to pandemic. People's homes are destroyed and families wiped off after these multiple strategic air raids. Children are the worst affected. It's heartbreaking to realise what each day of those who survive looks like.
