At the gun point

I can't believe that we reached to this level that a police officer sexually assaulted a woman using his gun. Already I am surprised that this case did not make the headlines in the newspapers despite its sensitivity.

I am happy that the police officer took 25 years in jail still I am mad that it won't be implemented because he is not found till now , it is an absentia rule :(

The disadvantage of absentia rule on a serious criminal charge (rather than a misdemeanour) is that if the criminal is located and arrested this court sentence will be cancelled and the case will be re-tried !!

The police should treat this case not as the case of a policeman , but as rapist who should be arrest immediately , they should search for him to become the real administrative tool that obey the law and rules of the judicial system.

They should arrest him because he is the real danger on police reputation , they should arrest him because he represented all that against what the real police force represents from law , protection and help to the people.

They should arrest him because he could do the same thing to any Egyptian girl , he could it even do to one the other officer's daughter or wife; I do not know what the interior ministry  would think about that !!??

When I read it ,I felt so scared because it is not about a Sudanese refugee but it can happen to any lady alone. I could be in her place ,heaven forbids this is so scary .

I feel so angry for this woman but I am glad that the court reached to such fair judgment

By the way this is the highest penalty a police officer takes in the last two years for an assault crime on a citizen.

  1. This is really shocking and very disgusting! Why do they allow animals like this into the police force- yet another sign of the lack of standards in our dear Egyptian administration.
I am amazed that the court acted so fairly!

  3. @arima, the worst part is that he ran away and they did not catch him !!
I think the court act so fairly because she is a refugee and the UN can interfere ,more noise and more scandals , they learned their lesson from Mustafa Mahmoud Massacre

@Egyptian Fawkes , happy birthday to him
