I recommend you to read this very important report from The Nation regarding the latest revelation against Blackwater and its founder and chairman Erik Prince.
I would like to quote those points that made me stop in the report :
The former employee also alleges that Prince "views himself as a Christian crusader tasked with eliminating Muslims and the Islamic faith from the globe," and that Prince's companies "encouraged and rewarded the destruction of Iraqi life."
To that end, Mr. Prince intentionally deployed to Iraq certain men who shared his vision of Christian supremacy, knowing and wanting these men to take every available opportunity to murder Iraqis. Many of these men used call signs based on the Knights of the Templar, the warriors who fought the Crusades.
Mr. Prince operated his companies in a manner that encouraged and rewarded the destruction of Iraqi life. For example, Mr. Prince's executives would openly speak about going over to Iraq to "lay Hajiis out on cardboard." Going to Iraq to shoot and kill Iraqis was viewed as a sport or game. Mr. Prince's employees openly and consistently used racist and derogatory terms for Iraqis and other Arabs, such as "ragheads" or "hajiis."
Wow this was a real crusade led by Bush !!
It is ironic because the knights of the templar were burned at the stake when they returned back home from the East by the order of the Church not to mention that they did not succeed in erasing the Islamic world in their first quest !!
The Iraqi civilians are suing Blackwater for war crimes and their lawyers are suing them in the States, these allegations or accusations or whatever you would like to call it in the lawsuit.
I would have ignored this post had you not inferred that the sometimes reprehensible acts of a private contractor hired to protect U.S. Diplomats was part of a Bush crusade. Surely you know better. Blackwater consists of civilians with weapons skills (former military or police)who protect U.S. Diplomats who are under constant threat of attack by despicable terrorists who willingly place Iraqi civilians at risk in order to kill diplomats. The Blackwater guards may at times make mistakes but they are constantly risking their lives and there is a tendency when under attack to shoot first and ask questions later. Imagine yourself in the same situation.
ReplyDeleteNo doubt there are some fundamental Christians in the mix but I also have no doubt that there are many fundamentalists amongst the terrorists who are killing Christians and other non-believers in the name of Allah. Better you should concentrate on the good that is happening in Iraq. The Americans, your imagined enemy of the Iraqis, will be gone in the next year or so as was elways envisioned and you should pray for the success of the American inspired democracy in Iraq. It will be an example for the rest of the Arab world and Iran. Why don't you look for some positive stories about Iraq. One interesting one is that there is a marked increase in the number of Sunni-Shite weddings. Why? Because the many neighborhoods have become safer because of the surge and the better training of Iraqi troops. The two groups can again live together in harmony.

it is very ironic...when the king of france broke into the templars compound it has been rumored that he found them prostrating and praying like muslims and not to mention many other things they picked up from the east. and the excuse that was given when they were executed was that they were FOUND WORSHIPING THE DEVIL....lol.
ReplyDeletei guess if they couldn't beat the muslims the joined them.....BTW THIS IS ALL SPECULATIVE FROM "questionable' historical sources...but have lingered for a thousand years.
Mo, Blackwater personnel are not armed "combatants." They are not looking for a fight. The Arab/Muslim/Iranian armed combatants(terrorists) start the fights by attempting to kill U.S. civilian Diplomats and Blackwater protects them. Sometimes innocent Iraqi civilians are caught in the crossfire. If there were no terrorists who worry not at all about Iraqi civilian deaths (suicide bombers in markets!)Blackwater would not be firing and no innocents would die. Logic!!
ReplyDeleteFrom your point of view the Diplomats should just take their chances and be sitting ducks for the terrorist organizations.Would you be willing to do so?
Salaam
Misrscribe,
ReplyDeletegranted DPL's and dignitaries need to be protected! but 4 NGO's and 3 congressional committees weighing in on "THE HEAVY HANDED" tactics of the company can't be wrong among which were the powerful senate foreign relations committee which advised the state department to REVOKE BLACK WATERS dignitary escort contract, which they did.
one example of their iraq blunders was the senseless killing of a medical student and his mother on a highway ------reason for OPENING FULLON FIRE----the boy came to close to the convoy the contractor said so they had to "LIGHT HIM UP" yes he said that!
Those animals had no consideration for anyone and eric prince is just another thug in an armani suit!
NGOs that tend to be anti-US and Congressional committees that are politically biased don't carry very much weight with me. The point I continue to make is if there were no attacks from terrorists intent upon killing Americans the State Department wouldn't even need armed security guards. The medical student might have been a homicide bomber.Who could be certain. If your life were at stake what would you do?
ReplyDeleteFreemasons are the descendants of Knights of the Templars. Don't be delusional into thinking that democracy means freedom for muslims from tyrannical dictatorships. On the contrary.
ReplyDeleteThere is a very real and strong agenda that is targeting the Islamic world. Don't be fooled by silly speeches from presidents visiting Egypt and other places. Propaganda fed to the massive global media machine. Check out France's stance on hijabs while signing large military contracts with those hypocritical Emiratis with there extravagant lifestyles. They are paying secular, Islamophobic French to defend them agains other muslims (Iranians).
Shaytan will continue to try to destroy any faith in the One True God until Jesus returns. It's a promise that was made in Sura 2 of the Quran. So you will only see more and more of this in the future.
Muslims will continue to be weak as long as they are far from being true muslims.
'NGOs that tend to be anti-US and Congressional committees that are politically biased don't carry very much weight with me. '
ReplyDeleteit seems that you have an axe to grind! if you are familiar with 'our system' in the US, the committee chair was a republican at the time (a sitting duck nonetheless) so he had no need to play to political winds...........
Regardless we can agree to disagree! EVEN KEALED PRAGMATISM IS THE KEY! wearing a tinfoil hat and calling BUSH's IRAQ blunder 'a systematic attack on wiping out muslims' is equivalent to your apologetic excuse laden defense of blackwater's reprehensible acts.
THERE IS AN OVERWHELMING CONSENSUS AGAINST THAT COMPANY'S HORRIFIC ACTS.....LEFT RIGHT AND CENTER.
@Z blackwater took out ads in the middle east (esp egypt) and recruited many expats in the US to join their brigades. they targeted arabic coffee shops and actively recruited from a population of cab drivers and hot dog vendors with a promise of a BETTER LIFE! please explore the idea of posting about it.
cheers!
cheers
hahaha, what these guys do, is do the dirty work the american govt wants done and cant be caught doing. They do it silently and effectively. But you know what, at the end of the day, they are just another buncha mokeys with guns, like all the other monkeys with guns in that country, their agends is a biased and bloodthirsty one, but i doubt it will cause too much damage. Too many unknown variables in Iraq, and at the end of the day God knows best. Rabenna ysa3edhom w ye7meehom ya rab, the ones that arent murderers at least.
ReplyDeleteSuch a sadness!!! Pax Machina the word is "keeled"
ReplyDeleteThe only axe I have to grind is I and my country desperately want peace in the Middle East. The kind of attitudes you and your comrades display make it impossible to hope it can be achieved.
Ash- you too make me sad- Blackwater exists in Iraq because there are terrorists in Iraq who do not want democracy. It takes tough people to oppose killers and indeed some of them may cross the line. To say that the American government and Americans in general want to kill Muslims is ridiculous. Muslims live here more safely than they do in their own lands. They also thrive financially. Too deny this shows your extreme bias. I would point out that The Nation ( a very liberal organization) who is pushing this story can do so freely in America without threats or censorship. Could that happen where you live? I beg you be more logical and honest with yourself. Hate clouds thinking.
Salaam alayakum!
if prince is a crusader why this make bush a crusader?
ReplyDeletespelling was never my forte, the sad part is you choose to harp on minor incidentals (my spelling) than to address the main issue!!!!
ReplyDelete'I and my country desperately want peace in the Middle East.'
oh really? ya salam..... achieve this through the barrel of erik prince's gun? please enlighten me as i really cannot grasp your logic. you talk down to the conspiracy theorists about their outlandish theories of 'american imperialism.' YET i see your apologetic tone just as extreme maybe even more dangerous.
again we can agree to disagree cheers!
The spelling was indeed an incidental remark but I believe my point is clear. Conspiracy theories abound but few make any sense. Obviously I am dealing with some very closed minds so its time to move on.
ReplyDeleteCount - Thank you for the question. The only Bush crusade was to spread democracy in the Middle East. A very worthy goal but it rejected by Theocracies and other Dictatorships throughout the region.
I recommend that everyone read Fouad Ajamis article that appeared in the Wall Street Opinion Journal about 4 days ago. Perhaps Zeinobia could supply the link. She is more proficient at such things than this old man. (oops- I meant senior citizen).
