I was always asking myself would not it be easier/cheaper/faster/safer on G. Bush to promote freedom in allied country like the Gulf and Egypt rather than in "rouge" States like Iraq/Iran/Syria. All it would take is a phone call to President Mobarak telling him "Come on, let us have free election, please just for me!"
However, the more important issue here is: why do we Egyptians need the support of any other foreign country to reform our political life. "Kafaya" people do not seem to need any one to go to the streets. Besides, what you earn is always more valuable than what you get as a gift.
Which reminds me of the annual Aid we receive from USA. In the future if I become a father, I think it will be horrible to tell my children that I bring them the food by begging. Is not this aid is sort of begging. No matter how "poor" we are as a country, do not we have any dignity to stop begging for annual aid!
Bottom line, I think we can manage our political/economical life by ourselves. Of course we alwasy need international partners in trade/science/environment/etc but we sure do not need donations from any one!
My friend I agree with 100% ,I am not with those who believe that the U.S will save our Country from the dictatorship ,already there are lots of benefits the U.S got from this situation,in fact you return back to history you will find that the U.S got hand in the revolution of 1952 anyway we must not forget that even the U.S is clever enough to know when to support a certain ruler to a certain time , the Shah is the best example ,dumped from his greatest Ally ever The democracy is not and will never be imported like the U.S wishes already it must come from the people themselves
