Ehud Olmert prays on a daily basis for Mubarak in order that the Lord will give Mubarak health and happiness !!
According to his interview with Jerusalem post
"When I think how things can be if we are dealing with a person other than Mubarak , I pray for him to have health and happiness !! "
This is so bad for Mubarak as a publicity for sure and surely it will not find its way to our media ,anyhow I am not surprised on the contrary it is quite Obvious that this statement is the answer on the Egyptian latest statement about the diplomatic revenge and Livni crossing the president's line.
This is replying on the attack by Peace , seriously what Olmert is doing is so clever , it is more than saying "Mubarak is the Peace man" , it means that Mubarak is good for the Israeli interest .This statement is directed to the Egyptian people in order to make them hate Mubarak and disrespect him.
Olmert and other Israeli officials know that the statements of Abu El-Gait were mostly for the local use and surely the NDP and regime are using for their sake to improve their image among the public in Egypt , to prove them we are not that friendly with Israel. The Egyptian people were so angry from the Egyptian regime after the incident of the Palestinian pilgrims and considered the regime collaborating with the Israelis against all the expectations , at least the people's expectation that their regime will act as the representative of the mother leading country in the Arab world who protects other Arab countries and nations
Already the statement made the headline in Masrawy.com New section and you can read the comments there from the Egyptians to have an idea about what some Egyptians think about this statement
From another side what Olmert said may hold parts of the truth ,the Israelis fear that the one who comes after Mubarak may not be as *Peaceful* as him and this is why they and the Americans are making sure that who ever Mr. "X" is he must be friendly to them as Mubarak ,not like Friendly and wicked as Sadaat or unfriendly and aggressive like Nasser or have a vision for the future and democratic like Naguib or just love his country so much like King Farouk . They do not care for democracy , in fact the last thing they want is democracy because you know if people have choice in Egypt , they will lose a lot , not that the Egyptians will declare the war on the contrary but in simple words they will be alienated in the region again just like before 1977
Let him pray as he wants ,well I am sure that Egyptians have their own prayers too and the days will show us which prayers will be accepted
Allah listens to and answers the dua and the prayers of the pious muslims and Egypt has so many pious muslims alhamdulillah.
ReplyDeleteI sometimes think that the existence of the state of Israel was a lesson for all muslims. Perhaps they had become far away from their faith. Perhaps they were asleep and not on guard and watching. They became lazy and complacent much like they did in Muslim Spain so many years ago. Sometimes even when we muslims try to follow our faith, we somehow miss something important. Like it's true meaning. Only Allah knows.
But I do know that Egypt has suffered enough and had enough. Yes, it's not in the Americans interests to have an Arab muslim country become financially and economically successful. Weak and poor is how they like to keep arab muslims unless they are like the Gulf arabs who bend over from behind if you know what i mean (sorry for the analogy but it was appropriate).
A healthy sucessful economy like Lebanon's was destroyed in 1 summer. Come on. Did they need to hit factories and other financially viable businesses. With there technology nothing was hit by "mistake" or "accident".
But Allah is All-Knowing, All-Seeing and I'm sure he will not let Egypt suffer forever. God is with those who persevere and are patient and the Egyptian people know that well.
K this is totally off topic but right now it's around 4 pm EST and it's raining instead of snowing so I'm watching this Masriyah channel and there is a church service since it's Coptic Christmas I guess. And the heir to the throne, Jimmy is sitting in the front row of the church lookin' like the big dummy that he is. Never saw a guy that wanted to be somewhere else so bad. 2 funny. You know this guy has a bald spot the size of yamulka..hmmm...I wonder if he goes to the synagogue for passover as well?
ReplyDeleteI once visited a Coptic church for a research paper I was working on in school and learned how unpopular muslims really are amongst expat copts, but I'm sure it's not the case in Egypt.
I want to know is the service in Arabic or Coptic because it doesn't sound like Arabic. When I went to the church here one of the fellow worshippers told me about how the evil muslims cut out their tongues if they didn't speak arabic instead of the copt language. Also, where are the women in the service. The sunday service I went also didn't have any women. Here there are women in all of their services.
Jimmy looks like he had a late night(major bags under his eyes) and like he doesn't know what the hell he is doing there. He has that blank deer caught in the headlights look going on. Honestly watching him is quite amusing. Poor guy he could be at home watching a flick on the satellite instead of stuck at a church service at what must be 11 pm Cairo time. Sucks 2 be u Jimmy.
@anonymous , well for sure this is a test for us , not for us only but for leaders especially for our leaders , Egyptians were always patients ,more than anyone , more than they should be
ReplyDelete@N.American , oh yes he is attending every year along with the American Ambassdor , I do not know why they at the attend , no he does not go to a synagogue , I wish he or his father send someone to return back the Jewish community to our side instead of being hijacked by the Israeli Ambassdor , in time of President Sadat the Jewish Community was among the other comminties and used to be our proof that we are not bad with other religious minority but what you say with the current stupidity
This year Jimmy is not alone , my grandmother who always love to watch the even , told me that Amr Khaled was there , it was a clever move for him but it can cause lots of problems because many Muslim Religious men angry from the church and its position from the radical channels and they are right about this too
THe service is in both Arabic and Coptic , but mainly coptic for the prays
you know when you go to this church again please ask them to show you an example of someone had his tongue cut because of the coptic language !!
And did the Muslims cut the tongue of the Lebanese and Syrians in Lebanon to force say their prays in Arabic !!??
I am not surprised , thank God it is not like this in EGypt but some want to be like this
Yes I also saw Amre Khaled later...I'm not sure what that was about...many say he works for the government and uses religion to promote social and national harmony as well as deradicalize Islam. Who knows. I think he's just about his pocket personally but that's just me.
ReplyDelete2 cute that me and ur granny were watching the same show and we are thousands of miles apart :0). I have 2 say, they need a new pope cuz poor ol' Shenouda looks like he is a corpse that is barely alive. I'm assuming that they are like Catholics and will wait until he dies to appoint a new pope.
Then later I caught the last 5 minutes of al bayt baytak..what is the name of the host btw..he's one of the better Egyptian presenters, him and the one in the glasses who is very sensitive and always looks like he is on the verge of crying (caught the end of the adel imam interview). Anyways, after the episode they then played this sappy song about how Egypt is 1 Egypt with Christians and Muslims and how everyone lives in harmony. A nice sentiment indeed.
I'm sure you've read articles and seen websites of Copts outside of Egypt. They claim how the Egytpian government persecutes copts and how they are discreminated against and can't get good jobs or positions....hmmm....my brother recently came back from Egypt and he said he noticed that in Zamalek where he stayed it was full of well to do Copts. Hey good for them that they are doing well financially and the ghali family is in government and of course there is the granddaddy of rich Copts, Sawiris. I don't think they are hurting as much as many would have them believe. There are lobby groups in the states as well and i read an article about how most of USAid goes to Copt organizations only. If this is true, then it's very sad...but as you said the neo con radicals from the south and texas are running the show right now and religion is a big issue with them.
I went to the local coptic church back in university which was a few years back so I won't be going back to that church anytime soon. Went with my dad who knew the local pharmacist who was coptic and we went and met up with him. I think the woman didn't know I was muslim. I told my father later who told me I should have told him cuz he would have blown up at her. No kidding. Tons of Egyptian coptic pharmacists come here and write the board exams and it seems that immigration is open to them...seeing as they are persecuted and all in Egypt...:0)
I guess financial gain has nothing to do with their immigration huh.
@N.America, According to Khaled he recieved the invitation to attend the event on the same day only three hours from the start and he said that he respected the invitation and could not decline it
ReplyDeleteI do not suspect Amr Khaled that much because this man did great thing and let's say that he started the this movement to return Religion to the youth plus he was and is still unwelcomed by the regime for his popularity
Pope Shounda was terribly sick last year ,I was surprised that he made all by himself last night seriously the man himself knows that his time is soon and already now there are conflicts in the church whom will substitue him , it is like the catholic church with elections
The Name of the host is Tamer Amin and you are the first one to like him , come on we got a group of his haters on the face group and I am among them , he is not a host ,he is a prosecutor , seriously too governmental
The other TV host is Mahmoud Saad ,he is not bad but he is not that sensitive , I like him when he presents on MBC because he speaks more freely
oh N.Princess why do you waster ur time in that stupid program ?? you got "10 PM" on Dream , do not miss today's episode , you got "90 minutes" and you got "Cairo today"
about the copts , look seriously what proves the lies of those abroad is that Copts work in very respectable jobs and have very important careers and it is not only the Ghali family , there are in every field , they claimed that they do not copts in the army in high positions ,despite there were many generals as christians among them Fouad Ghali in the 1973 "not related to the Ghali Clan"
Those in America are very radical for no reason ,My grand father's sister is in the America since 1969 and she was amazed by them especially those who came lately to the states saying that they were discriminated , already the Old generations of Copts left just like the rest of the Egyptian because of the lack of opportunities , because of nationalization and they do have this hard feelings
anyhow let them say what they want because Truth will apear in the end
Well unfortunately Zeinobia the channels we receive here from the Middle East are few. Some crappy state channels on free to air like libya channel (no thanks) and let's see, ART, ART America, MBC, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Dubai Sports, Masriyah, Iqraa, Al Jazeera, Nile Drama, Future, LBC and my fav...the music video channels Dandana, Zoom and melody arabia which has the most retarded game shows called melody trix..and they sit there wondering why no one phones in. Maybe because the game show is stupid. Almost as dumb as Deal or NO Deal with howie mandel here.
ReplyDeleteYup my dad used to go on about the wonderful dream channels when I would call him from here. Really Tamer Amin has haters on facebook? That's funny. I like his hair. Yeah I can be shallow sometimes. LOL. I only catch it once in a while but I don't mind it. Yeah he can be aggressive and I'm sure with 200 plus channels in Cairo who is watching him on the local masriyah channel anyways..but I have limited choices. Wanna be really bored. Watch Future channel..aka March 14 group channel as you call them. They have a # at the bottom of the screen that represents the # of days Harriri has been dead. Let him rest in peace already. Afterall, he wasn't a prophet!
@N.American Princess , you got nice channels here like MBC,Dubai,Al-Jazeera and Art and Melody Arabia , do you know that Melody Trix already has a channel alone !! Silly is not it , did you see how silly the tv hosts in it !!??
ReplyDeleteFuture used to be good before the 14th of Feb or March or what ever they like to call themselves turn it in to their spokes channel
People hate Tamer Amin and the National TV because of the lies they are repeating day and night , people got sick , seriously sick from this treatment as if we were naive
here is the url of the facebook group http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2389224073
I'll check out the facebook hater club...you would know about him more than i as you have seen his program more. From what you say, it sounds like a typical government or state channel with state controlled programming.
ReplyDeleteYes the hosts are beyond retarded on this Melody Arabia that turns into Melody trix. The girls are scary with all of that makeup and they all behave like idiots. One guy sits there having conversations with the people in the control room and I watched this 4 about 5 minutes and thought who owns this channel and is he an idiot or what. How is guessing a # a contest or a game? I turned the channel. At this rate, the average IQ will drop in no time
it is an official channel , he is working in the second channel in the official national TV in Egypt and he used to work in Nile News before promotion
ReplyDeleteabout Melody , well guess who owns , no one except Gamal Marwan , the son of Asharf Marwan and the grand son of President Gamal Abd El-Nasser from his daughter Mona !!!
