Coronavirus on the Nile: Egypt’s Covid-19 November 2021 numbers in Graph

This is the time of our monthly post about the coronavirus pandemic and its official numbers in graphs in Egypt.

This is the second November to pass in Egypt during the Covid-19 pandemic, unfortunately.

Disclaimer: According to Minister of Health Hala Zayed in early January, the official numbers of cases represent between 10%-15% of the real number of cases worldwide Egypt included.

First, the official daily cases of coronavirus in Egypt

Egypt was and is actually in the fourth wave of coronavirus pandemic.

Nevertheless in November, the number of official daily cases did not continue to increase but rather ranged between 900s and 960s mostly.

On 24 November, the Ministry of Health officially recorded the lowest number of daily coronavirus cases “856” in the month.

On 17 November, the Ministry of Health officially recorded the highest number of daily coronavirus cases “960” in the month.

Again we are speaking about the official count which is based on the critical cases admitted to the ICUs in the public hospitals.

Those numbers do not represent the real patient numbers or those who are treated in homes.

Personally, several colleagues of mine contracted coronavirus and mostly are youth.

Moving to the fatalities official numbers

Alarming enough the fatalities, we got a very high number of fatalities due to coronavirus officially. We are speaking about an average of 60 cases on a daily basis.

On 18 November, the Health Ministry recorded the highest number of Covid-19 fatalities cases officially “73 cases”.

It is for the first time we had this number of fatalities officially on one day since July 2020 !!

Strangely , next day on 19 November the Health Ministry recorded the lowest number of Covid-19 fatalities officially. “31 cases”

Again those official numbers are less than the real numbers according to the officials in Egypt.

In November , Egypt’s Doctors syndicate recorded 24 fatalities among doctors officially.

Moving to the fully recovered patients

Now moving to the vaccination situation news, the real good news in November

The Egyptian government stated that about 45,963,944 vaccine doses have been administrated in Egypt by 30 November

Acting Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar announced that 30,019,120 first doses have been administrated while only 15,944,824 second doses have been only administrated.

In case you do not know in November, Health Minister Hala Zayed is currently on a long leave from her position as there is an ongoing investigation into the Ministry of Health for allegations of corruption that reached the Minister’s aides.

In November, the Egyptian government announced that teens from age 18 to 15 years old will be vaccinated at schools and later children from 15 to 11 years old will be vaccinated by Pfizer after parental approval.

In Mid November, the government barred unvaccinated citizens from entering official institutions without vaccination.

The government is working to reach the 40 million-citizens-vaccinated milestone by 31 December 2021.

We will see if the government succeeds or not.

Be sure to follow Egyptian Chronicles live Coronavirus coverage for the month of December.

Just stay safe and register yourself to get vaccinated if you are in Egypt as soon as possible inshallah.
