And I did it somehow.
Here is the video of Kodak Agfa’s very quick tour of the famous Moulid Market in El-Sayeda Zeinab.
On the occasion of Prophet Mohamed’s birthday, the famous El-Sa’d street hosts at least three weeks prior to the Moulid a huge local market for everything Moulid including Moulid sweets and Moulid dolls.
I know it is a bit late because the Moulid is technically over but it is not too late to celebrate it because we are still eating Moulid sweets in Egypt.

Now a bunch of info or trivia about the Moulid Sweets in time of economic crisis.
It was expected that the sales of Moulid sweets to achieve something like LE 3.2 billion but for some reason, we do not have any confirmed numbers. Only estimations like those billions which I doubt that we can achieve because of the crisis and other facts that the fuel prices and nuts prices have surged.

Nuts are mostly imported and thus their prices hit the ceilings. Aside from the claims of the sellers at Um Essam sweets stand at El-Sayeda Zeinab, some commerce chambers reported that there was a 7-12% increase in the prices of the Moulid sweets this year 2022 compared to the last year 2022

My aunt went to a famous patisserie in Mohandessin known for its Moulid sweets aka famous El-Abd and that time of the year it is known to be crowded inside and you will find beggars outside waiting for the customers.
This year, she did not find beggars or customers in the branch as before.
There is no info also about the sales of Moulid dolls but this year I was introduced to a new profession in Egypt: Doll designers

Doll designers spoke about the latest trends of Moulid dolls in media this year and I decided to follow them starting next year to know the latest trends.
Anyhow Happy Moulid and hopefully that time of economic crisis shall pass.
