R.I.P Abdel Wahab Al-Messiri

I have just received this sad and dull news as soon as I got online.

1938-2008

Abdel Wahab El-Messiri , the great Egyptian thinker and author had passed away this morning.

It did not happen yesterday.He died today at 5 am Cairo Local time

The Funeral will be from his hometown in Damanhur after the Asr Prayer.

The late thinker suffered long time illness Cancer and I must say that despite his illness that he insisted on fighting dictatorship in Egypt in his role in Kafya as a coordinator.

I do not know what to say except May Allah bless his soul and give patience to his family and to us not only in Egypt but in the Whole Islamic world.
I consider Abdel Wahab El-Messiri like Gamal Hamad , that kind of  thinker whose work is not for the country all but for the whole world.
He was at first Marxist then he became an Islamic think , in fact of the best Islamic thinker I believe in our time.

Important update : The Funeral and its prayer will be from Rab'a El-Adawia's Mosque Nasr City in the Zohr Prayer at 1 pm , the burial will be in his home town
