The Last Visit’s Price

Many newspapers in Egypt “of course unofficial” are speaking about Mubarak’s coming visit to Washington as his last Visit to D.C while being the President. This won’t be a surprise because most people are expecting the succession scenario or rather the inheritance scenario to take place starting from the NDPC this year. It is expected that the final approval from the Americans on the succession scenario that Gamal Mubarak would rule after his father will be granted in that visit.

Mubarak stood with the US or rather with Israel in the last year and half more than he has ever done in his long term , this time it is worth it for him and his son , the price is too high ; also the risk associated with him is even higher

Despite the official denial , there are rumors that the big price Mubarak will have to pay for his beloved son’s presidency is the approval to host American military bases in Egypt. The rumor says that Hilary Clinton offered this price to Mubarak leaving  for him some time to think in her last visit. Safwat El-Sharif denied the rumor despite the fact that the United States is planning to have military bases across the Middle East to stand against Iran. Sudan is said to accept the American proposal and is going to build a military base on the red sea.

This won’t be the first that the United States proposed such proposal because in early 80s Egypt refused similar offer which was accepted by Bahrain.

Many people expect that Mubarak would say eventually Yes in order to grant the American approval for his son regardless of the people’s acceptance ; the people which are most important neglected factor in this whole equation along with the army yes the army.

Who said that the Egyptians will accept having a foreign military base on their territories regardless on who has accepted and who has not !!?? Who said that the Egyptian army regardless of how much Mubarak is convinced that he controls it will accept having a foreign military  on its territories !!?? We totally refuse to host any foreign military base from any kind.

Approving to have a foreign base in Egypt is just approving either a revolution or a coup and thus Mubarak if he approves this , he will be writing his own end.

The Americans must not be stupid enough to gamble with the Egyptian people.

FYI the last foreign military base in Egypt was the Suez military base of the British army which was closed in 1954.

  1. Iam not agree with you that Mubarak by accepting a military American base in Egypt he will be writing his own end.
Mubarak is controlling the army and people of Egypt very well if not then why the revolution didn't come all these 28 years?

  2. He'll make the deal so his son can become the Firaun. They'll put in the bases.
Israeli world domination will continue as they control a vast majority of the world's banking.

The Egyptian people will continue to accept this as their government will keep them so busy trying to support their families and prevent them from being hungry that they won't have time or energy to revolt.

Note: the illiteracy rate continues to increase in both Egypt and many other developing nations. An illiterate populace that can't read is easier to control.

Kiss your sovereignty goodbye. Welcome to the Gulf Arabs club. If there are bases in the holy land, why can't there be some in Egypt?
