Boycotting the referendum of the constitution amendments is not the solution

"Kafya" famous movement began its campaign to encourage the people to boycott the coming poll about the constitution amendments Mubarak suggested and the parliament now is discussing with an accepted approval.

Boycotting the referendum is not the answer , many people didn't bother going to the 76 article constitution amendment and look what happened another amendment is going to take place in the article making it impossible for independent candidates to run for presidency!!!

I know very well that the Constitution amendments will take place in either ways through cheating and changing the referendum results but if many people go and say "NO" to these stupid amendments then may be the regime will know that people are still awake in Egypt , and know very well what is going around them , they are not that fool as the regime thinks and the evidence is that they understand the dangers of these amendments and that's why they are refusing these amendments

If the people don't say "NO" now in the legal way ,more of their rights will be derived from them and they won't feel or know

I mean that there is a suggestion in the NDP from the blessed Policy committee now that is beginning discussed carefully , this suggestion is about the parliment elections , and according to it also the independent canadidates can not run for the parliment elections , of course this suggestion is made to fight back the influence of the Muslim brother, of course the justification is to support the parties more !!!

  1. I definitely agree with you.
I think this kind of 'passive' action never works. It never worked with the last referendum. never worked with the presidential elections, and it'll not work with coming amendments.

People already are totally indifferent about the issue, they need to be encouraged to voice their opinions and to believe they can actually contribute to change, not to be told to stay silent and convince themselves that they're "defying" the regime by simply doing nothing.

This'll only give the regime a chance to do whatever it wants, just like it did in the past referendum and the presidential elections
