The first telegram reached to Sarko in Paris to congratulate him for becoming the president "Unfortunately" was from the Egyptian President ,the wise old man of the east who is admired by Sarko President Mohamed Hosni Mubarak !!
This is too fast as soon as they announced the result ,he sent it !!

Our persident is trying to score some points :)
ReplyDeleteit is known that France was\is and hopefully will always be moderate towards us.
...and the first phone call was from W...
ReplyDeleteI am very sad today that my fellow citizens have massively voted in a way I assume is totally "en dépit du bon sens".

@fadfadation ,already our president made a huge score since his last visit and Sarko considered him his mantor in the politics arena , the wise man of the east ,didn't you see how our official newspapers covered the event considering Sarko a winner even before the results !!
ReplyDelete@Seg ,my dear french till now I don
't understand how he won really , it seems all the French I know voted against him but ....
really why ??
Royal from watching and reading her program had a very excellent social one we in Egypt wish that we have one day like it !!
Individualism I guess, the people here are really not interested in social issues, it's the money that counts and protecting their little selves. Archaic mentalities also ; the french were apparently not ready to vote for a woman.
ReplyDeleteThe other thing is they are opposed to the entry of Turquey in the EU and Sarkozy is very firm on that question.
And Sarkozy is really a good speaker.
He does high scores in the countryside and this I think is because people are really scared of immigrants (Sarkozy uses a lot of Le Pen's themes, letting them think that immigrants will bring islamism in France - this is in fact his main argument for refusing Turquey's adhesion -, that they take all our money, that they 'bring their country' with them instead of integrating etc.) but they have hardly ever seen a foreigner. Whereas if you look at the scores in Paris, you can see that Royal is far in front of Sarko in the neighbourhoods with the greatest rates of immigrants.
So I guess it's all about narrow-mindness, individualism, lack of courage and prosperity.
On a personal level, the only good news for me is I share Royal's first name - a very uncommon one - and these past months were quite tiring for me...
Another good news is now I can come live in Egypt, I won't lose much. The truth is I might have no choice, if I stay with my boyfriend, even if we get married, he will be sent back to Egypt. So that's that.
