I do not know what is going but suddenly I found Francis Fukuyama speaking to the Arabic press here and there ;yes I know he was currently in Dubai . Yesterday The leftist Egyptian Badeel published an interview with him , then you got the Lebanese Nahar is publishing an interview for the famous Neoconservative , the same words but there are slight difference , you can say each interview is localized with the Badeel Fukuyama shares his two cents about Mubarak that he started in the political reform then he stopped and that what created a tension between him and D.C ,where with the Lebanese Nahar he revealed his concern about the future of Lebanon.
Of course he re-winded in both interviews the three major mistakes of Bush:
- The threat of radical Islam to the US had been overestimated.
- The Bush administration hadn't foreseen the fierce negative reaction to its benevolent hegemony. From the very beginning it had shown a negative attitude towards the United Nations and other international organizations and hadn't seen that this would increase in other countries.
- The Bush administration had misjudged what was needed to bring peace in Iraq and had been overly optimistic about the success with which social engineering of western values could be applied to Iraq and the Middle East in general.
Of course he repeated his predictions about KSA and Iran , strangely he sees the Turkish example as a good example in the Muslim world , yes the Turks have got Democracy most of the Arab countries do not have but they also have got an army that actually controls their lives , I do not consider Turkey the best complete democratic example in the region to follow.
I am afraid that Fukuyama is from the people who are enforcing the myths about the Fundamental Islam as a source of evil just like Marxism and fascism , despite the fact if you check the fundamental Islam you will find that it is not the Islam you watch and read about in the western media.
Fukuyama and Huntington are spreading lies about the Islamic civilization that it can't live in harmony with other civilizations in the world , in fact they believe all eastern civilizations will not stand up against the American modern civilization. What they wrote from books I can't say that it is not important or should be disregarded on the contrary it represents a very important point of view , it is enough to know that their books and thesis were written before 9/11 years ago .
Some people want to have benefit from the clash of civilizations just like the time of the crusades when the Merchants and kings of Europe sponsored the crusade along with the church for economic and political reasons using religion to justify their causes in the worst ever .
