At last the Giza Governor found a day to make from it the national day of Giza : The 23rd of August.
What does it marks ??
Well it marks the day where the ancient Egyptians had put the first stone in the great Pyramid of Cheops which is the 23rd of August 2470 B.C !!?
Do not ask me how they knew the exact day King Cheops came to the location along his ministers and put the first stone in his pyramid to start the journey of 20 years till it was finished and he was buried there !!!?? Last time I went to the Pyramids there was no ancient plate in its entrance saying :
on the 23rd of August 2470 B.C King Cheops had inaugurated the construction of his grand pyramid !!??
I am sorry to those archeologists and experts who came with this day ; I am not convinced.
I think the governor should have chosen another day , real day not this invention !!!?? For sure we have something in Giza. Already I am thinking about the 21st February which marks our student day in Egypt , this is better than this B.C National day !!
By the way the governor has decided to change the flag of the Governorate, I am waiting to see how it looks; from the description it seems that it looks like the old one !!

LOL so true!
Seriously if you think about how could they know and there is no single record with the accurate date !! it is more than hilarious
