I read today a strange news in the newspapers “ The Oil committee in the NDP is suggesting that we should import gas from abroad , they even suggested we should import it from Iraq”
I did not get the news from the first and I had to read it again because it sounds strange that a country that exports its gas to the level of wasting it with all what the word “Wasting” means , imports it not for free for sure !!!
Are you drying up from gas as expected and our officials are preparing a stupid Plan “B “ as usual !!??
I have a better suggesting , instead of importing gas from abroad , why do not we stop wasting our in exporting to countries like Israel for very cheap prices with no benefit what so ever to our economy and reserve we have to our grandchildren !!?? Not to mention we can do even better if we start to depend on renewable energy sources like solar energy besides keeping our gas and oil till we need them in hard times like in war.
Solar panels are still developing, the cost per watt are more than 30 times cheaper than 30 years ago. I don't think it's economicly viable yet, but it's the future, at least in the mid- short term. The problem is the gov will probably auction off cheap land for solar farms like it does with wind farms, then buy the energy back from the private companies then subsidise it for local consumption.. If rich countries really want to help developing countries cut their emissions, like they promised, then the gov should invest these funds in a public renewable energy company, that provides citizens with affordable supply and doesn't burden the gov.
ReplyDeleteIf in 3 decades or something our oil/gas supplies start dwelling and our water supplies become inadequate.. well you can imagine..
Seems that Israeli demand on NG increasing so , They convince their friends in EGYPT to import NG from IRAQ to Egypt , then pumping it to Israel!!
ReplyDelete:) :)
You are exporting gas to Israel because you've won the 73 war, for how many times this must be said? :)
