And so Egyptian fugitive businessman Ramy Lakah has returned back to Cairo
last Thursday , he returned after paying his debts to the banks. He paid billions of Egyptian pounds to the banks that make you wonder why he did not pay them from the first place !!
Ramy had a big reception at the Cairo airport, hundreds from Al-Azbkia and Al-Dahar areas whom he used to represent in the parliament gave him one hell of ElBaradei reception that made him cry. Now I know that the official press will say that there is no different between Lakah and ElBaradei as both received by hundreds in the airport "Believe me do not be surprised"and I only will answer back : Mohamed ElBaradei did not pay a single penny for all those people to come and receive him at the airport where as it is clear like the sun that Lakah's men paid for all those poor people who waited for him.
Ramy Lakah will run for the parliament again and do not ask how the people will trust him again.
I reckon he paid half he owed. Ya3ni for all the millions he gave back, he kept the exact same amount for his leisure...
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, he will be brought back to the parliament - people will vote for him for the same reason those went to greet him at the airport.
Rami is actually a really decent guy. I’ve hung out with him a couple of times in London. Having moved in the financial markets space in Egypt, I actually believe his sob story and can definitely visualize it happening. Say what you want about the guy, but he’s super classy; only downside is that he keeps repeating a lot of the NDP rhetoric.
ReplyDeleteYou have no evidence that he paid anyone, nor that Baradei didn't pay anyone.
