Despite it is not our independence day yet it is our national day , very few really celebrate the day while other few hate it for what they believe it brought to this county and the majority consider it a holiday they are waiting for in the hot month July. "Unfortunately this year it comes on Friday"
Regardless of having a mixing feeling about today and its significance in our modern history and its results , I would like to tell you all :
Happy 23rd July

When Egyptians woke up on that day from 58 years ago , most of them did not think for one moment that the man they hanged his pictures on their walls would no longer rule the biggest kingdom made of two countries in the Middle East.
Have faith.
I dnt get why should we celebrate a military coup? I think our apathy towards the day is the true reflection of how we actually feel about it. It might be our official national day but in our hearts our national day has yet to come, only then you'll see ppl celebrating it for real
ReplyDelete'the man they hanged his pictures on their walls would no longer rule the biggest kingdom made of two countries in the Middle East'
ReplyDeletewould no longer rule the biggest 'psuedo' Kingdom made of two countries, one of which was administered by 'Britain' in the Middle East and 'East Africa'.
57 years ago a bloodless military coup was falsely called a 'revolution' and a bunch of junior officers who mistrusted each other called themselves 'free'
ReplyDeleteI hope Egyptians experience a true national day in the near future.
