Very Costly Shot

The photo shows MBS with Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and UAE ruler’s National security advisor Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan aka the fearful TBZ in some Red Sea resort in Saudi Arabia.

They are all smiling while wearing shorts and the Gulf is back to become one “or as they claimed”

Their media mouthpiece or rather trolls that used to attack each other on behalf of their masters especially Saudi and Emirati trolls were praising the meeting and the photo.

I forget to tell you that during the US withdrawal from Afghanistan those trolls praised the Qatari role in evacuation and considered it a “Gulf victory” !!

Anyhow this is a very expensive costly shot when I think about it.

People died and went to prison because of that fight that reminds me of the Jahiliyyah pre-Islamic Arabian tribal fights.

Jamal Khashoggi was killed and chopped to pieces in Turkey partly because of that fight.

Human rights activists and scholars, as well as public figures in KSA, Qatar and UAE, were arrested and accused of treason officially and publicly because of this fight. 

Shall I speak about the proxy fights in Libya between UAE and Qatar? 

I will not speak about the price other countries and their people had to endure due to this cruel fight.

Who really won in that fight? ‘Realistically speaking I believe Qatar scored more than the other four countries in the fight.”

In January, Egypt, along with Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Bahrain signed the Al-Ula Declaration with Qatar, restoring diplomatic, economic, and travel ties with Doha under the sponsorship of the US aka Trump Administration after a boycott imposed by the Arab quartet since mid-2017.

FYI, the boycott happened during the Trump’s administration and ended in that administration’s last days.

During those four years, trillions of dollars that can reconstruct whole countries in the Middle East like Yemen or Syria have been spent in a crazy arms race especially by Saudi Arabia and UAE.

Anyhow at the end, they reconciled and they visit each other at their sea resorts spending good ol’ time. 

I know it is a god damn politics but still, at least in the West the officials are unelected after their failures and fiascos but we are here in the Middle East. 

Those men are not elected and they will remain till death do us part usually. Those men are not elected nor they are held accountable and people usually pay the price. No one will apologize or admit they made a mistake about anything. 

This is why the Arabs may not achieve their own EU version.
