This is the second January to pass in Egypt during the Covid-19 pandemic, unfortunately.

Hopefully inshallah, it will be the last Covid-19 January.
Disclaimer: According to Minister of Health Hala Zayed in last January, the official numbers of cases represent between 10%-15% of the real number of cases worldwide Egypt included.
This statement was repeated this January by the Health Ministry officials too.
First, the official daily cases of coronavirus in Egypt
Now it nutshell , Covid-19 made a comeback in January after its cases began to decline for awhile in December in Egypt thanks to Omicron.
Some officials say that we are still in the Fourth coronavirus virus while others say that Egypt is the Fifth wave of Covid-19 yet it has not reached its peak yet.
Again we are speaking about the official count which is based on the critical cases admitted to the public hospitals.
Those numbers do not represent the real patient numbers or those who are treated in homes or in private hospitals.
Egypt already broke all its official record numbers and recorded over 2,000 cases starting 28 January.
The blogger who writes those lines has been infected by Omicron already in January despite her precautions.
If you want to know how much it is spread then you must know that Health Ministry gave its directives to delay any unurgent medical surgeries in the public hospitals allocating all sources to fighting coronavirus.
Nevertheless the government did not impose restrictions from any kind for real.
Moving to the fatalities official numbers
Those official numbers are less than the real numbers according to the officials in Egypt.
Unofficially fatalities are rising in a scary way.
Facebook accounts turned in to a big virtual obituary page unfortunately.
In January ,Egypt’s Doctors syndicate recorded 5 fatalities among doctors officially making the total number of fatalities among doctors officially reach 662. This number is not the real number according to the syndicate’s official.
Moving to the fully recovered patients
Now moving to the vaccination situation news, the real good news in December
In a very big change , the Egyptian Health Ministry added the latest numbers of Coronavirus vaccinations in Egypt in the last week of January.
Egypt administrated a total of 37,285,894 first doses and 26,138,418 second doses
We had 620,004 booster doses
The total number of doses administrated by 31 January were : 64,044,316 doses
Compared to December’s numbers shared by acting Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar , thus we could have administrated about 5.1 million second doses and 2.7 million first doses in those four weeks in January.
We are still far from completing the World Health Organization’s goal to fully vaccinate 40% of the population.
We got so far vaccine doses so.
