First, Happy Easter, Happy Sham El-Nassim, Happy Sinai Liberation Day, Happy May Day and Happy Eid Fitr😁😁
Second, in a sad turn of events, a fire erupted in Al-Orman botanical park, which is the oldest public park in Giza governorate on Monday. Al-Orman botanical park hosts Egypt’s Spring Flowers Show annually.
The Ministry of Agriculture spokesperson stated that the fire was put off and that it was a limited one and that it erupted in a waste area away from the rare plants and trees in the historical park.
I want to go again to check it.
Anyhow here is the second part of our tour of Egypt’s Spring Flowers Show in 2022 whether in photos or video.
Here is the first part of our tours in photos.
For our quick video tour and I hope my voice in Arabic is not annoying.
Now to the rest of our tour in photos.
It is time for our close-up shots
Cactus flowers |
Well , this is not a real macro-shot but still.
To these violet daisies.
Violet daisies |
Again that cold weather in late February and early March had its toll on the daisies as you can see.
Violet flowers |
Back to close-ups and macro-shots
Here is a macro-shot where the flower does not appear in focus unlike the green leaves.
Unfortunately do not know the name of this flower |
This is the first time I see this flower in the Spring Flowers show. I do not know its name and I wonder why I did not ask about it.
A close-up of a red flower |
I did not know the name of this beautiful red flower but I believe it was affected by the cold weather.
Inside Egypt's Spring Flowers show 2022
Beautiful flowers and a collection of amazing colours |
This is one of my best and favorite macro-shot in the Flowers show for this year honestly.
This tree is popular in Egypt |
I do not know the name of this tree with pinkish leaves but it is very popular in Egypt and you see it in several areas across the country.
This tree is too popular as well in Egypt |
This tree is also popular and it is actually a staple tree in resorts across Egypt whether in North Coast or Red Sea or Sinai
It is so beautiful.
A tree with yellow leaves |
And this tree is so also beautiful.
For the first time, I saw yellow trumpetbush flowers sold at Egypt’s Spring Flowers Show.
Yellow trumpetbush |
It is so beautiful. I do not recall seeing it before.

Here is another flower at a Cacti-partition.
Orange flowers |
Those ornamental trees and I am sure that they are planted in special ways.
These trees seem to be more sophisticated.
I have not asked for their price but I guess they are expensive.
Bonsai trees |
Bonsai trees were there as usual. They became a stable item in different sizes and shapes.
Bonsai trees |
But they have been always pricey.

As it is the 89th edition of our favorite Flowers show and as I care for it , I got couple of suggestions.
I suggest that we must have better movable WC cabins in Al-Orman park or even during the show.
The Ministry of Agriculture and the companies participating in the show already can afford getting those movable WC cabins.
There is a need for a map in the show so we would get lost.
There is a need for a better cafeteria or cafeterias in the show.
All this can be organized easily with no high costs.
This show got sponsors from the biggest landscape companies in the country.
Also why do not we hold this show across the public gardens in the governorates during that month to spread the so-called Green culture ?
It is a huge success in Great Cairo region and I assume that it will meet the same success in other governorates.
Already , do you know that there are no ads or marketing campaigns like other shows and exhibits in Egypt for this show !? The Ministry of Agriculture and Giza governorate declare its inauguration and that’s it. People go because they love it and are looking forward for some go.
There are more photos here on Flickr from the show 2022.
Till next our tour inshallah.

Those are some weird-ass trees. They look like they are trying to uproot themselves. I like that you cover this event reliably every year.
