RIP Sheikh Fadallah

Sheikh Hussein Fadallah ,the famous Lebanese Shiite cleric and spiritual leader has died earlier today after a long struggle with illness.
Fadallah was not only known for being a spiritual leader to Hezbollah since 1980s but also for his controversial religious opinions and fatwas. It is not only Lebanon that has lost one of its religious icons but also the Shiite Islamic world has lost one of its outspoken moderate figures. You can watch Al Jazeera documentary about Al Shiite to see him speaking about his sect's beliefs
Hezbollah has announced an official mourning for three days , along with a huge public funeral.

May Allah bless his soul.

At Last You Remember Egypt

Hilary Clinton has at last mentioned Egypt among the countries where the walls are closing in" on civic organizations such as unions, religious groups, rights advocates and other nongovernmental organizations that press for social change and shine a light on governments' shortcomings. It is a change for sure from the Obama administration's side that was considered too soft on its allies from dictatorship suppressive regimes in the region

Clinton is currently in Kyiv , Poland where the second meeting of strategic partnership commission is held.

I think Wael Abbas and Saad EddinIbrahim are attending the event if I am not mistaking.

It seems that the honeymoon between the Obama administration and the Mubarak regime is over and as everyone is anticipating what is going to happen to the valley of the Nile "well speaking about Egypt in specifically" , it seems that the States will have a new policy and it is not about ElBaradei but rather political changes and reforms in general. The Iranian scenario scares the States and it is not about the Islamist revolution but about having unallied leadership that considers the American administration an ally to a former dictatorship regime , so it will not be bad to speak about democracy and to criticize the current regime a little bid.

Of course we can't ignore that once the American administration speaks about democratic reforms in Egypt , we are speaking about a game of interest , may be the Obama administration wants something from Egypt we do not know !!?? The only thing in my mind now  does not deserve such criticism and this is why I can't share it , it is too damn big.

It is worth to mention that this criticism came after the uproar in the Egyptian street due to the murder of Khaled Said. The reaction of the Egyptian street can't be ignore.

Book Review : The Lost Symbol

The Lost symbol is the third and latest book in Dan Brown's Robert Langdon series if we can call it this. Dan Brown wrote "The lost symbol" after "The Da Vinci Code" trying to keep the success he achieved in the most controversial book of the last decade , some people said that he managed to do so and some people believer otherwise ; either ways Brown managed to made a name for himself that we can't ignore as best selling author.
The Lost Symbol overall does not disappoint the reader and proves that Dan Brown is not one best selling author , on the contrary  he proved that the world has not finished with his alter ego Robert Langdon.

Now here is my review for the book which I read several months ago and kept this post till I find the suitable time to post it , I think summer time is suitable because it is the perfect time to read.
The following review is full of spoilers , so if you want to read it without spoilers then I advise you to stop here.

For The Sake of Egypt

Will not the regime be happy for those clashes in the opposition and the attack on Dr. ElBaradei that reached to the level of treason from inside the opposition itself !!??Is not this what the regime exactly wants and failed to do !!?? It is great to outsource it for sure.

The American Ambassador in Cairo ,Margaret Scooby visited ElBaradei in his house last Saturday as you may have known , the controversy came from the fact that the meeting was not declared except after 3 days from the American Embassy itself.

Some parties mainly from the Nasserites, socialists and communists have started attacked him fiercely labeling him the traitor , the American puppet , the regime extension …etc till the end of this talk  that we have originally read over and over this from the regime's media.

Unfortunately some of these charges come from Hamden Sabhi presidential campaign , the thing that saddens me a lot because one thing for sure Dr. ElBaradei has made it clear over and over that he does not want the presidency but rather a real political change in this country.

The Presidential race has not started yet and ElBaradei again made it clearly that he will not run if the 7 conditions he and the NFC put are not fulfilled and even if they are fulfilled , he will not run except by the request of the people whom he will respect their choice , if they choose someone , he will support that someone !! What more do you want from him !!??

Unlike some of the Sabhi presidential campaign members and also his enemies , I will not search in his files and history to accuse him of treason because I believe that he is just like ElBaradei wants the best to this country but according to his own ideology which many Egyptians disagree with by the way.

We are so tired from the treason charges that are being thrown because Mr. X met this or that , the same thing we have seen this with Ayman Nour before but this is not Ayman Nour .

We do not know what has gone in that meeting so we would dare and assume that ElBaradei is another American puppet or an extension for the corrupted Mubarak regime , the only two explanations for that visit are :

  1. The American administration is sending a direct message to the Mubarak regime that it can support ElBaradei
  2. It is related to previous position in the IAEA.

Regarding the first explanation , well I will not be surprised , in fact it will be foolish from the States to ignore the potentials of the ElBaradei after the public reception he has received. The Obama administration is under huge fire for supporting Mubarak and son in front of a man who wants to transfer the oldest country in the region and its cornerstones from dictatorship world to the free world in a peaceful way.

The Nasserites should rethink about the fastest and easiest allegation they got their diction thanks to Nasserite heritage : The treason because according to their definition Nasser and his follows were traitors who  were cooperating with the CIA and Miles Copland. Strangely I do not dare to accuse Nasser and his follows like some do with treason.

Now I am afraid anyone that supports ElBaradei is being labeled as ElBaradei groupie who can't stand anything bad said about Saint ElBaradei , with my all due respect we are not groupies , on the contrary we want to put an end to the President's cult that was implanted in Egypt.

For the sake of Egypt , let's please put a side our difference and focus on what we want , the end of this corrupted regime and having a real democratic real in this country. Can we be civilized and stop this treason charges till we manage to do this !!??

Blame It On Egypt

As expected and as it happened before the Israeli media is trying to defend itself in front of the world for what happened on Gaza freedom flotilla and the Gaza blockade by diverting the blame to Egypt thanks to the Egyptian regime.
While browsing on the internet , I found that ad

Interesting , is not it !!??
This paid Google ad is part of an advertising campaign by Israelis and Zionists to put the blame on us. The ad will take you to a Facebook page attacking Egypt and reminding the people of the free world that Egypt was the one that was closing its borders with Gaza.
Due to the Egyptian regime collaboration with the Israelis in the Gaza blockade , Egypt has become an accomplice in one of the worst blockade in the modern history.
I do not know what the Egyptian regime thinks of this campaign and the fact that we should expect this from the Israeli part but I think as people we must be more vocal against this aide and stop believing everything the regime says regarding Gaza and the Gazans . I am afraid what will put Sinai in danger is the Egyptian regime policies and its collaboration with the Israeli government.

Dr. ElBaradei Speaks With Amr Adeeb Again

For the second time Dr. Mohamed ElBaradei sits with Amr Adeeb about Egypt and his political view yet there is a huge difference between the first time in Vienna and this time in Giza.

Amr Adeeb aired a long interview with ElBaradei yesterday , you can watch it below

Al–Tunsi Market Fire : To See A Catastrophe In Making Under Our Own Eyes

Last week Egyptians especially Cairenes woke up one day to find one of their biggest  popular markets ever destroyed in fire , some of them was shocked , some of them expected it and some of them was surprised to find a market with that name in that place in the first place.
A car veered off the El-Saida Aisha doomed bridge to the market below it killing all the three young men in it and burning down the complete market, yes the complete market. The market was made of small shops and wooden stalls , with high temperature , lack of industrial security and late reaction ; it was like a scene from the apocalypse for thousands of poor families that considered that market its only source for living.

Before the fire (Siad Naga)

After the fire (AP)
Below you can find a video showing the fire taking place, for those who understand Arabic please ignore the inconsiderate creature who was filming the fire and making fun of it without knowing how many families are affected by it !!??
