insulted her before and called her a terrorist. She sued him in front of the German courts and she won the case , he could not tolerate the fact that he lost the case and thus he stubbed her in the court along with her Egyptian husband whose is currently in a coma. That Egyptian woman was a mother of 3 years old child 
The woman is 32 years Marwa E;-Sherbani , she was a pregnant in her second child when she was was stabbed. Marwa was a pharmacist who was living with her husband in Germany in 4 years. Her husband is a researcher who won a scholarship.
The Egyptians in Germany are extremely angry and they protested in front of the hospital is currently there.
This is for sure a hate crime but unlike other hate crimes like homophobic crimes or anti-Semitic crimes ,it did not make the headlines abroad and I do not know why !! This is a racism crime , a woman is shot down like that so simple in the court room for God sake and it is not important to be covered in the media as it should !! She was a mother who was a pregnant for God sake !!

The egyptian woman was attacked with a knife and not shot dead (this was possible because it were just a civil case and there are usually no security checks in german courts for civil cases). And the man who killed her was a russian-german - he immigrated to germany in 2003 (only 6 years ago!). So he wasn't a real german - I hope you would change your post with this few correcting informations.

ReplyDeleteI wholeheartedly agree with the anger that is felt due to its being under reported in the mainstream media.
However, i think it is important to remember at the same time that many crimes do go unreported in MSM, which is after all a 'business, whether we agree with it or not. I disagree with your sentiment that if she were a lesbian this would have got more attention- homophobic hate crimes have been increasing throughout Europe and most of them are completely uncovered by the mainstream media.
I think that the 'what if' game in this case is not a useful approach, and that suggesting more attention would be paid to this crime if she was homosexual or a Jew is inaccurate and possibly distasteful.
Yes, there is a problem with under-reporting of hate crimes, for all minorities, however, i cant help but feel that we should be joining forces to address this problem as a whole.

I think there will be much worse to come. The rape statistics in Europe show that around 80% of assualt-rapes are carried out by non-westerners, ie by africans and muslims.

I can answer to why the knife was overlooked.
ReplyDeleteSince this was a low-profile case (It was about the Insults) there was no security setting.
In such a situation normally no one is searched and there aren't security officiers in the room.
BUT, when the security arrived after the stabbing, they shot the husband - this might be an accident but this might also be racism.
I don't know all the facts, but I hope that there will be an investigation about this too.
