Princess Ferial’s Funeral

And so the Princess has returned back home , for once and for all !! Princess Ferial Farouk has returned back to Egypt in a coffin to be buried besides her sisters and her father in Cairo.


People are wondering why the funeral was held at night and not in the morning or the afternoon , some of them are not buying the air flights theory and say that the regime fear from any gathering in her funeral just like what happened in the funeral of her father from more than 40 years ago especially that people now are frustrated and angry more than in 1965 !! Youm 7 asked the public in the street about the late princess and someone answered that her father the former king would not let Algeria insult us like that !!!?? Also I noticed that the official media does not care that much for this event , I do not know why when the President sent an envoy to the funeral
I was planning to go to the funeral but I could not as I am fighting flu as usual and too weak , already judging from the photos Youm 7 has published from awhile ago there was unexplained tight security measures , I do not know for what !!??
King Ahmed Fouad II is reportedly holding himself , I feel so sad for him. It is so depressing that every time this man comes to Egypt , he comes to bury someone from his family !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
FYI this was a very hard year on the Royal family ; Nadia Shereen, the cousin of late princess had passed away from couple months ago. Nadia Shereen , the daughter of former Empress Fawzia Fouad from her husband prince Ismail Shereen has passed after suffering from cancer. Also King Fouad II’s step father Dr. Ismail Fahmi who was very closed to him he passed away. I can’t imagine the effect of all this on him , she was more than a sister.
