Egyptian Chronicles: More information about the Siwa torture victim

Well first of all this post includes more data correction for what was mentioned in the Previous post regarding what had happened in Siwa Oasis ,there are many mistakes , I am sorry about but believe me I took this information from the media

It turned that the theft that happened was the theft of electric cables three weeks ago,the heads of the tribes helped the police and promised to get who ever would be a suspect on the condition that they release the innocent and arrest the guilty

First the victim name is Yahia Abdallah Ahmed , 24 years old , a farmer in the Siwa Oasis , his uncle is the head of the tribe "El-Zanyam", Yahia was a suspect and the police requested him and so his uncle ordered his father immediately to the Siwa police station

When the young man arrived to the station the head of the investigation department himself interrogated him with his deputy , both of them kept pushing him to confess that he was the one who stole the cables despite he did not do and when he refused to confess ,he found another police officer with bottle of inflammable substance in it throwing the content on his body setting fire in him then they throw very cold water on him then they electrified him in his back and in his genitals in other brief words there was a torture party

You can imagine the level of the burns in the body of the young man and because they knew what they did very well those police officers took the young man to a medical center in Siwa secretly under another name ,of course the young man was not in a shape to speak , the medical center is the "Balkihi" medical center, the young man came to the medical center on the 15th of July 2007 Thursday and stayed for 8 days before checking out on Friday , Dr."Balkihi",the owner of the medical center said that Yahia came by himself and this is something with my all respect I don't believe it ,already how it comes that he checks in with another name ?? not to mention that according to Yahia's statement in front of the D.A there was a police officer staying with him day and night

Yahia was treated from burns in his stomach and he paid according to the doctor "930" E.P,well this is one hell of sum of money he would have in that circumstances, with no doubt if that sum was true the police officers gave it to him in order to cover their crime

Still we did not reach to the interesting part which proves that the young did not go by himself to the medical center and then get out by himself too as the police officers took from the medical center on Friday took him to Marsa Matrouh ,prepared some official papers for him to leave the country to Libya !! They had threatened him that they would hurt his family ,especially his little boy and thus the young man was very sick did not have much of a choice , they put him in a bus heading for Bani Ghazi ,ordering the driver not to leave any where except there !!

Strangely after his departure to Libya ,those police officers made an official report in the Siwa police station that Yahia had escaped and he should be arrested !!

During that time Yahia's family called the head of the investigation department several time and he himself comforted them ,it had been three weeks since his arrival to the Police station!!

Yahia was lucky enough that when he arrived to Bani Ghazi ,that he telephoned his brother who is working in "Jagbob" Oasis there {"Jagbob" was an Egyptian Oasis ,president Nasser gave it to Libya in the 1960s and it turned out that it has been floating of sea from oil}

Yahia's brother called the tribe and told him what had happened ,they were very angry , because it turned out that Yahia was not the only man who went to the Police Station but there were another two young men , who received this tortured treatment too !!

The people of Siwa were very angry that they made a siege around the police station , demanding the punishment of those who tortured their young men , strangely before the news of Yahia found its way to his people ,the head of the Police in Marsa Matrouh which Siwa follows had knew about it and he had issued his immediate orders to transfer the police officers who were responsible for what had happened to Yahia to another place for fear of the people's anger there

There is an investigation held by the D.A already about the case

It is worth mentioning that this case is exposed just after the D.A in Alexandria made a field trip in the Police Station to find 40 civilians being held and tortured in Montaza police station

According to Daily "El-Masry El-Youm" there were 16 torture cases that were exposed by the Media only in the month of July 2007

The last case was in Mansoura and this time it reached to death from couple of days ,this time the victim was the brother of a suspect

This must be stopped , seriously the Police and the interior ministry should revise itself , seriously ,in all these case we hear over and over that this is an individual case , this is an individual case , I am sorry this is not individual case , it is more like Systematic case and it is exceeding more and more lately in a scary way

Another thing for some minority of dear Arab brothers ,I know that in other Arab countries more than that happen and they don't dare to open their mouths but at least we speak about it
