Well G.W.Bush is visiting Egypt tomorrow in a very short visit , 3 hours or 2 hours of talks with Mubarak at Sharm El-Sheikh some where not in the Presidential residence at Movenpick thanks to the American security measures !!
Now all the TV shows are speaking about this visit especially that public and political forces do not welcome the man at all. There were calls in the parliament headed by PM big mouth Mustafa Bakery who wanted to sue G.W Bush as a war criminal.
Today's Daily El-Dostor published the following message "I copy it as it is":
Mr.Bush,If you want Peace,Talk about Justice.
If you want democracy,Talk about fair elections.
If you want freedom ,talk about rule of law.
If you only want supporting Israel,Go back Home
I understand why G.W Bush is a hated personality in Egypt ,it is very easy to know why but I was wondering is this over reaction supported by the government and the regime thanks to the lately bad relations between Cairo and D.C !!??
Seriously this is not the first visit for an American president, of course it will be the last for Bush as a President still I am just wondering , things are so hot in Cairo despite the very cold freezing weather .
Just yesterday Daily El-Masry Youm published that our foreign minister in a meeting in the NPD "despite he is not a member" said that Bush's visit is useless and a waste of time" with other words and vocabulary that does not fit a foreign minister spent all his life in the diplomatic life but a teenager heading a gang in the high school , I do not know why he chose this language may be because the respectable members of the NDP do not understand any other language than it or what !!?? Next day the foreign ministry issued a statement denying the incident accusing the newspaper of trying to destroy our relations with the States !!!
Just for your information the publisher of the Daily Masry El-Youm received an award in the White House and spoke about Mubarak with G.W.Bush in a way that many people did not like in Egypt and raised questions marks about the successful newspaper too.
Anyhow back to the unwelcome visit
I will not go and speak about the people's reaction or the public anger , or big words like the ones Bakery is using but I will speak about the visit itself .
This is one of the shortest visit for an American president in Egypt ,the short period of 3 or two hours meeting indicates several things , some of them may be right ,some of them may be wrong , even all of them are right but none is wrong :
- There is something wrong in the American - Egyptian relations and it is related Israel and to Gaza ,America has two options now either they let Israel go in to Gaza and a genocide will take place or they force Egypt to return back to Gaza and a new Yemen swamp we will be stick in, both options Egypt refuses totally
- This short visit shows how the American administration disrespect Mubarak and his regime that the American President does not give from his precious time to meet the President of Egypt except 3 or 2 hours only !!
- This short visit means there will be no talks but more orders to be given and it is very obvious who will order who !!
- This short visit shows that this regime "not Egypt" has nothing more to bargain with , with my all respect Bush went to KSA hoping that the King would help in lowering the oil price , he went to the Gulf hoping that he would create a Peace between the Gulf states and Israel using the bogy man of Iran and its nuclear program but what he wants from the Egyptian regime more than what they already gave??
- This short visit means that Egypt is no longer the leader country in the Arab world , not any longer , our position was taken by countries like Saudi Arabia
And you know why we are not so important ,because Mubarak gave up so much in order to stay in his role and to secure for his son the place after him.
The American administration does not want democracy in Egypt it just says the word "democracy" to blackmail the current Egyptian regime in order to get what ever it wants for them , approval on the invasion of Iraq, approval on alienating Syria , approval to give a green card for the American warships to pass through the Suez canal ...etc
On Tuesday all TV News Night talk shows were attacking Bush even on the national TV , the problem is the American administration understands this silly game and they do not give a damn , I am afraid all this talk was for nothing ,all this anger that was expressed , I had seen it before and nothing happened
Bush does not have much time to waste with the expired watchboy of egypt.
ReplyDeletehe has provin too weak to fill his position
we must topple all arab regimes for approval on the invasion of Iraq, approval on alienating Syria , approval to give a green card for the American warships to pass through the Suez canal, approval to blockade gaza, approval to invade afghanistan, approval to detain innocent people without trial in Guantanamo, approval to Israel hammering Hezbullah 2006, approval to partition Iraq & insight a sectarial war, approval for Ethiopia invade Somalia, approval to desdain Islam in the name of so called war on terror, approval to disarm the Lybian nuclear program, approval to waste the souls of lybian Aids-infected childs, approval to embargo Iran & threaten a new war on it, their list of shame seems endless....
The old watchboy of egypt must be the first
thanks to giving space on your post to release hot steam.
ARE WE FOOLIN OURSELVES ?
I think Hosni is the new Pervez Musharraf. The days of him and his cronies may be numbered.
ReplyDeleteHe has outlived his usefulness and I wouldn't be surprised if his kid doesn't end up inheriting the Egyptian throne. They are withholding 100 million bucks in aid. That isn't small change and it can only get worse.
The money is the stick they are using to try to teach him that he must do as they say. He always has, so what has changed. It's a dirty world out there.
@loudlaughter , wow after reading your comment you must feel that we gave them all what they need , what else we can give to them for approvals !!
ReplyDeleteDear we are not fooling ourselves , but it is the regime which fools itself thinking it fools us and also is fooling the Americans
@anonymous ,I think Pervez is the new Mubarak , not vice versa
and Yes I believe that his son will not role either despite all his plans , by the way I do not think that he cares about the money , how many times in the last 72 hours you heard in national TV "screw the aid our diginty is important"
