Egyptian Chronicles: The remarks of the first NDPC day

I know it is the second day of the conference but I can’t help it , I have just entered the house after very long day. These are my remarks about the first day of the conference in general.

I was stopped at Mubarak words in his speech in front of the NDPC

“We Passed the international crisis thanks to our strong economy !!”

Strong economy !!??

I do not have any further comment on this.

Now one of the most important decisions or surprises the NDP has reached in order to make the people happy is to

“To extend the ownership base of the privatized establishment to include the public !! “

Now they are claiming that this is idea is their brainchild despite as far as I see people including the opposition were calling for this especially when the government insisted on privatizing the third biggest Public bank in Egypt “Banque de Caire”, by the way the government could not buy the Buy and thanks to the financial crisis the 100 years Bank will be a Public for some time now.

Also is not this a form of a modify nationalization !!?? the people is instead the State in the ownership ; if you look to it is another sort of nationalization the government is attacking currently saying that it is an old fashion despite the heart and mind of capitalistic system U.S and UK had to nationalized banks and financial institutions !!

Now to other interesting remarks

Ahmed Ezz seemed to be very tired as if he had a fight with Shahinaz before attending the Conference.Many people are expecting that his role is no longer as influential as before.The main panel for the first time included members of the Old guards and the new guards , the old guards number are more than the new guards in the scene , the old guards of Safwat El-Sherif and Kamal El-Shazely won the new guards Ahmed Ezz and Co. in this round ,especially with the fall of his men in the policy committee Hisham Talaat Mustafa,Mamdouh Ismail and Hany Sorror not to mention the public campaign against Ezz himself in the media. Sherif and El-Shazely are more experienced than Ezz and his men.

Anyhow not all the new guards are dead , after all the people got sick from the old guards and the men for all time can’t keep it despite they are trying so hard so simply they are getting older and older. One face stopped me in fact many it stopped many people, the face of Dr. Mohamed Kamal .

Dr. Kamal is a student of Ali El-Din El-Halal ,the Middle guard “He was in the vanguard 1960 and he was the teacher of many of the new guards in the party”.

Kamal was from the frequent faces during the presidential campaign ,he is from the policies committee members and a close friend to Gamal Mubarak still last year he disappeared from the media and from any public appearance. The analysts are saying that Ahmed Ezz took his place but what you know now he regained back his position.
