The Quote of The Week#2

This week there are too many interesting quotes about Egyptians in the American media

If it had n’t happened in Iran, Egypt would have been the next place for an uprising

  1. Not true - the Egyptian people are too lazy and cowardly. Now, the Iranians, those are a people to admire. They have achieved a lot despite being largely Moslem. Truely, a great credit to them.

  2. Do not be so sure about the Egyptians because they will surprise you in the end , remember 1919 revolution , the British forces thought that there were just peasants who knew nothing about their rights

  3. That is ancient history by now. More recent history is Egyptian and Syrian soldiers running from or surrendering to Israeli forces in 1948, 1956, 1967 and 1973. As for the Iranians, they deserve respect because they managed to preserve their unique language and culture despite beyond conquered in the Moslem conquest. Classical Persian culture has nothing to do with Islam - what a coincidence!

  5. In additon to not being brave, Egyptians are rather lazy. Until the early 1950's, many Jews, Greeks, Armenians and Europeans lived in Egypt and ran prosporous businesses. Egypt at that time had a robust economy, thanks to such people. King Farouk may have been a despot, but he let capable people run the economy. When Nasser rose to people he either expelled or made life very unpleasant for the Jews, Greeks, Armenians and Europeans living in Egypt, so they had to leave. And since that time, Egypt's economy has been a disaster and the majority of its people poor. Another example of the Arabs being their own worst enemy.

  7. @anonymous 1,2,3-----------same person who hates Egyptians,Arabs and Muslims altogether
My dear who built the Pyramids ?
    who built the Gulf ??
Who built the high dam,the big banks and companies aka Misr companies Talaat Harb? what about Abood Pasha ?? What about other national entrepreneurs ?? Of course I do not think you know what I am talking about because you know zero in our modern history
What about our current giant companies like Orsacom ??
Have you been to our smart village ? Egypt is very rich more than you think ,seriously than anyone would think
Strangely the distribution of wealth before in the revolution was not different than nowadays , the majority of the people were poor ,the majority of people did not enjoy the assets of their country like any other country in the world , of course this was due to the fact that they are lazy Egyptian Arab Muslim you do not think that they have to live on the same earth you live on it
You do not know what you are talking about ,you just like to insult me and people
You have set of beliefs you want to assure every single moment I write something in my blog concerning my great people whom I am proud to be one of them and these beliefs are actually mythes

@anonymous#4 it seems that he or she is so provoked by me for some reason

  8. Yes, Egypt is a great country, LOL. You are speaking about the pyramids? The Egyptian Coptic Christians are the descendants of the ancient Egyptians, not the Egyptian Moslems who have contributed nothing to civilization. Nobody outside Egypt cares or knows about the obscure companies and banks, etc. that you cite. Oh, and by the way, the British built the Gulf; you know nothing. The majority of people in Israel are not poor but middle class; I wonder why that is. Arabs in Israel have more political rights than Arabs in Egypt or any other country. As I have said and will say again and again, what Arab country has representatives sitting in its parliament who are against its very existence. Such are many Arab politicians in the Israeli Knesset. I am pointing out uncomfortable truths, which I think many Arabs are aware of, but get nervous when confronted with them. I seriously think your culture and religion has damaged your brain seriously, together with your biased education.

  10. Z,
With stupid racist comments like these, I don't think u should waste a single moment debating them.
The only reason you'd allow them is: to have a good laugh at their bigotry and stupidity.

For those who say Egyptians are not as brave as the Iranians:
The country is already going through the strongest strike wave it has witnessed since the end of WW2.

But I guess u never heard of that, coz your limited stupid Zionist mind prevents u from that in addition to the obssession of the Western media with on topic: terrorism.
But already the country's workers are striking, facing bravely the police.. And already in 2008 we witnessed two anti-govt uprising in Mahalla and Boroloss, and despite the repression, the strike wave continues.
We don't have to go as far as 1919 to show if Egyptians were brave or not. This is happening everyday.
And Z, I repeat again, don't waste ur times with those racist bigots.

  11. I don't recommend ya Zei to reply to this Anon. He simply needs to learn -at least- history before he speaks.

He says that "Egyptian Coptic Christians are the descendants of the ancient Egyptians, not the Egyptian Moslems who have contributed nothing to civilization." - which is fine, only if he explained how did Egyptians export those cruel bad bad Muslims?

At least he should have known that ancient Egyptians were NOT Muslims or Christians. They had their own ancient believes... then some of them turned christians, and some of the christians turned muslims.
(And if he failed to realize such obvious fact, then I recommend also he'd study logic)

I am amazed he speaks with such confidence, while he is as ignorant as it shows. And I believe that this type of ignorance is due to his culture and religion that have seriously damaged his brain, together with his biased education.
I'll also love to add that his blindness due to hatred, had its share too.
But I wonder why would he hate us - for no logical or apparent reason - despite how inferior and negligible we are, as he tries to hint.

  12. Anonymous asshole,

Besides your unbelievable ignorance, u r blinded with hatred and racism (yea, usually racists are ignorants).

What u don't know, or maybe claim that u don't know, is that riots in Egypt never stops, uprisings are vivid, and Egyptians are pioneers in internet political activism..

You don't know, they are constantly suppressed, hundreds of workers who fell martyrs are ignored... all this for one only reason: Mubarak is Israel's spoiled brat, no matter how revolt against him you will never hear anything about his crimes, he ass is kept safe on the presidency seat because of prisons built by the USAID and as Sharon told Miss Rice: This man is protecting Israel's security, we need him.

While Ahmadinijad is the black duck, he is the bad boy, Mubarak kills hundreds in one day, and it is fine by the US, Nijad kills one Neda after a week of violent demonstrations then it is a violation of human rights..

If Egypt were not that important, why would Israel and the US bother to pay all this money to keep a dumb, old, stupid, dictator who screw people daily.. go figure, you are an idiot
