For fear the so-called immigrant Egyptian Christian organizations would protest in front of Mubarak's residence in the States , the Egyptian Embassy has rented the streets around it ; Who is paying the bill in dollars ??
To show that he is very popular President among his own people; the Egyptian Embassy hired some Egyptians from our community in the States to welcome the President for $100 each " who said that the Socialist Union was dead !!" ; Who is paying the bill in dollars ??
Seriously who is paying the bills , we are speaking here about hundreds of thousands if not millions of Egyptian pounds from our money , our tax payers money on nonsense !!?
I do not even speak abut the too frequent visits of Mubarak who in 27 years has traveled the globe Mashallah more than any Egyptian ruler in history ; I am speaking about these useless PR stunts that no one believes and buys it , they won't fool the Americans nor the Egyptian people ,they only fool themselves.
Renting the streets to take away from those organizations won't stop them from blackmailing Egypt and pushing the country in to the edge.
Renting cheerleaders in the streets won't change the truth that Mubarak is not that popular than those ruled after him !!
In the end it is hard currency flying away !!

The picture you put up there speaks for itself. One guy is playing the "tabla" while another -who is btw wearing a wrong size suit- plays the "tar (or mazhar as far as I remember)". I really don't see one single decent face in that pic, which is not unexpected.
ReplyDeleteI am guessing we are the ones paying for this, just like we are paying for most of the nonsense of the NDP and the gov
ReplyDeleteI am also guessing the paid-pro-Mubarak demo is meant to fool Mubarak himself. The Americans and the Egyptian ppl know the real deal and while I get pissed off with most of the claims of Egyptian christian groups in the U.S. I do believe that there are some real issues and real fear among many christians in Egypt from what comes next (just like all of us) and Mubrarak shouldve made an effort to meet up with reps of Egyptian immigrants in the U.S. instead of hiring-up impostors.
We all know that the Egyptian security has its own eyes and ears among Egyptian immigrants, do you think these are the ones hired here, bec I do?
@Hina wa Hinak , do you know that there are rumors circulating that the embassy hired immigrants from other countries who look like Egyptians to welcome Mubarak because Egyptians refused to welcome him !!??
ReplyDelete@Anonymous I agree with , they are trying to fool Mubarak only. The Christians in Egypt as you said fear on what is going to happen but unfortunately some parties led by the NDP are using this fear and increasing it by claiming that it is either Gamal Mubarak or Muslim brotherhood
Of course the eyes and ears of the Egyptian security were the ones hired
