“Porto Aswan” is said to be a huge touristic project planned in Aswan by tourism tycoon Mansour Amer to join his “Porto World” empire in Egypt and in the Arab world “He is building one in Syria”. I do not need to elaborate how the historical , social and environmental nature of Aswan can’t have such huge touristic project.
The news is causing huge anger in Egypt especially in Aswan , the people there are extremely angry and I will summarize their anger in what Mohamed Mounir has said :
“I pull the rocks of the great pyramid if the government approves that project”It is not only them but anyone who loves this country will refuse this project which unfortunately is not a rumor because this project seemed to have the approval of the governor since last July 2009. There was earlier news that supreme council of antiquity “headed by Zahi Hawses” has rejected the project but then yesterday we found out the council will review the project after the Eid !!!!
Amar is a member in the NDP and it seems Mounir will have to pull the rocks of the great pyramids !!
This is appalling. In the meantime Israel is building more settlements on palestinian land, and look at what some Egyptians are doing to their own people! I hope that Porto Aswan turns into Porto Gohanam el 7amra wa be2s al maseer!
ReplyDeleteMaybe Rupert Murdoch will buy it with al Waleed as his partner.
ReplyDeleteEverything is for sale in your country. Wait til they put the sphinx and pyramids up for sale.
