Or is the correct question should be :
Where is Farouk Hosni ??
Do Not you notice that since his loss in the UNESCO and he does not appear in public as usual ??
As far as I know Dr. Farouk Hosni has a work to do and it is a very important work too plus I remember he said in his last statements before that disappearance that he would apply his UNESCO program in Egypt “and Show the world how it let him go out of its hand !!”
I do not see any thing of that UNESCO program has been implemented in Egypt up till now , you will tell me it is too early and I would tell you that if he won the UNESCO bid , he would start from there from day 1 !!!
Anyhow I am very curious to know why do the ministry of culture and high supreme council ignore our historical mosques and synagogues now !!??
Youm 7 regardless of what you think about published a small report about a real scandal in Islamic Cairo , Sharf El-Din and his brother ancient Mosque is currently drowning in the sewage water.
This ancient mosque is registered in our Islamic antiquities registry as No.176 and you will not believe if I told you that Farouk Hosni and Zahi Hawas inaugurated it after the restoration works in 2005 under the auspices of Mubarak !!
I am so amazed because in 2005 it was announced that cost of restoring this particular Mosque was LE 2 million !!?? I wonder where they were spent exactly when the original ground water problem have not been solved completely !!!!!!!!!!!
In 2005 Farouk Hosni inaugurated in Islamic Cairo 38 monument after restoration works with a cost of LE 100 million and in 2009 after what has happened to Sharf El-Din and his brother I wonder about the other monuments that were supposedly restored.
Ancient places should be restored to endure forever not to be drown in sewage after couple of years for God Sake !!
I also wonder about the kind of supervision in this ancient Mosque !!?? Seriously could not the supervisors and those who operate it inform the proper authority , this flood of sewage does not happen in a day and night !! For God sake if they can’t respect its historical value , why they do not consider its value as the House of God !! As a Mosque !!??
It seems that the UNESCO program is working effectively !!
