When Youm 7 Was Hacked !!

Youm 7 , one of Egypt's biggest news e-portal has been hacked today  by a group of angry Salafis. The group has hacked the website for what it considered a huge insult to Prophet Mohamed "PBUH" published in website.
The story started last week when the popular news e-portal announced that it is going to publish chapters from the new unreleased book by Anis El-Digdy which is called : The trial of prophet Mohamed "PBUH". I did not read the report or the announcement or even the excerpts of that novel because honestly knowing that El-Digidy is involved , I know it will cause a cheap controversy , a tabloid controversy with my all due respect.
Anis El-Digdy says that his book is actually defends prophet Mohamed , I believe him but unfortunately those who read that report found provoking insulting headlines even for the non Salafi Muslims , still the Salafis were the most outspoken against the book and the website reaching to level of threats forcing the administration of the website and the newspaper to pull the report and to apologize for its readers insisting that did not mean any unintentional insult.
I thought that would be the end but I was wrong because today a Salafi group managed to hack the Youm 7 website leaving a message attacking the website , El-Digdy and the Christians !! I do not know why they involve the Christians in that matter. They even left 100 questions for Christians about their core beliefs.
Youm 7 when it was hacked
Of course the website is back now but after hours of absence.
For those who do not know El-Digdy in brief he was the man who led the court to force a gag order in the famous Suzanne Tamim's trial when he published his golden global conspiracy theory about Tamim's murder in the early days of the trial with fictional details , he was the man who is suing Gihan Sadat , Mubarak and late Abu Ghazzla for their role in Sadat's assassination; !!?? Believe it or not I have heard theories about Mubarak and Abu Ghazala's involvement which is a natural thing1 if you ask me but Gihan !!!??  Earlier this year he tried to get more than 5 minutes under the spotlights when he announced that he would run for presidency attacking Dr. ElBaradei. Of course now El-Digdy actually made it and will stay longer and longer as the martyr of freed of expression !!
Youm 7 made a huge mistake by publishing a religious issue in a tabloid cheap way , it paid the price when it was forced to pull the report and later apologized to the readers but hacking the website will make things worse , why not to discuss and fire back in words !!?? Why not to wait the Al Azhar's decision about the book then to discuss it. Al Ahzar already is studying it for approval as the law says.
Youm 7 is reportedly being visited by 7 million Egyptians on daily basis.
Dr. Mohamed Hussein Haikel , the liberal famous thinker ,writer and politican penned his book " The Life of Mohamed" , the most famous biography of our prophet PBUH in the first half of last century in order to fire back on all the accusations , allegations and misunderstanding of the west in an excellent fine way that suits the topic and the message of the book , he did not search for fame nor for controversy unlike El-Digdy ; of course it is unfair to compare Haikel with El-Digdy.
Notes
1. considering the enigmatic surroundings and events of that day in the podium and the fact that both were lucky and were not killed plus let's be honest here was not President Johnson of being involved in JFK's murder , the vice is always blamed but Gihan !!???

  3. @Zeinobia, regarding your note at the bottom of the post. There is a conspiracy theory that Lyndon B. Johnson had something to do with the JFK assassination, but it's ridiculous. I think you know that. (Blaming the widow Jihan for the Sadat assassination seems loony to me as well, but I don't know anything about it.)

Saying that Heikal's work is the most famous biography of Prophet Muhammad PBUH in the latter half of the 20th Century can only be justified on subjective and tenuous grounds.

    Let's not get carried away...

  5. @Jason , I will check the link
regarding JFK I read this theory once along the involvement of Bush SR.

@Sudanese Observer , did you know which Haikel I am speaking about before carrying away !!?? I know you hate and dispise everything Egyptian and whether you like it or not Mohamed Hussein Haikel's the life of Mohamed is the most famous biography of Prophet Mohamed PBUH in the 1st half of the 20th century

Yes Zeinobia I know which Heikal you refer to - Muhammad Hussein Heikal the former Minister of Education.

He has some interesting literary and historical works but his biography of the Prophet PBUH is not considered to be one of the greatest by non-partisans.

I like (I don't really like it I'm being sarcastic) your clairvoyance and logic - 'I hate and despise everything Egyptian' = )
and 'whether I like it or not' that book is the greatest of its kind in the 20th Century.

Is this also in line with 'whether the Sudanese like it or not':
    Halayeb is Egyptian territory,
Blackface in the Egyptian media is not racist and,
Egypt has a manifest, as yet unfulfilled destiny and therefore deserves to have a veto on the consumptive uses of the Nile's water by Upstream States?

Myself and others, 'disagree' with the premise you have provided.
We have objective reasons to do so and it is our prerogative to 'differ'.

Intellectual engagement doesn't take place within the parameters you've set - not in this 21st Century.

  7. @Sudanese Observer: each person is entitled to believe a particular book is the best on that particular subject. I see you are back again to irrelevant postings and trying to force your point of view on others including the owner of this blog spot.
