Just An Idea : Pandora and Spotify For the Arab Music !?

Why can’t we have something like Pandora or Spotify services in the Arab world for the Arab music !?

Why can’t we have online stream services for Arabic music sponsored with Ads ?

This is just an idea , I do not know how it can be implemented but I hope that someone does would be interested.

I think radio stations like Nogoom FM can be interested in this service as they can have access to record labels in the Arab world.

  2. This is the message I received when I tried to connect with Pandora :"We are deeply, deeply sorry to say that due to licensing constraints, we can no longer allow access to Pandora for listeners located outside of the U.S. We will continue to work diligently to realize the vision of a truly global Pandora, but for the time being we are required to restrict its use. We are very sad to have to do this, but there is no other alternative."

  3. Seriously?!?! With everything going on today- all you care about is whether the Arab world has a music service like Pandora?!!!!!???? I guess we should all just forget about the protests in Tahrir today, and we shouldn't worry about how the Salafis flooded the square and are silencing everyone. Let's worry about our music instead- I see where your priorities lie.

    1. Music is one of the most influential and cheapest tools to spread a message. It also can unite people and motivate them. I encourage to continue to look towards the future in a positive way rather than dwell on things that wont benefit anyone. It is dissappointing to see our beloved Egypt sink into more chaos but we will endure and model to the world how we face our challenges :)

  4. We don't have Pandora in Europe either. Spotify is very limited now unless you pay. It's unfortunate if it isn't available in the Arab world (?) but the Spotify service hosts a lot of Arabic music.
