Here we are on the tenth night of our Radio Arabian Nights this year.
We will continue our tale for this year, the tale of King Mahorab
First of all, You can refresh your mind with what happened last night here.
It is the tenth episode in our tale and the 532nd night in the nights of our Egyptian Radio show.
You can listen to the episode after the break.
Mahorab goes on his quest with one horse and nobody else. He spends nights and days in a desert till he finds an oasis with a water pond inside.
He leaves his horse to rest and to drink whereas he explores the area.
He finds a hut and inside it, he hears a sound of an old man repeating one word “remorse”.
Mahorab enters the hut and finds himself in front of a familiar face that got very old.
It is Sheikh Dagestan who disappeared years ago after killing Cenmar.
Dagestan asks Mahorab about his father and he tells him that his dad died a couple of months ago.
“Okay then let’s waste no time, I help you finding the three ladies” Dagestan then tells Mahorab who is shocked at how the old sheikh knows about the whole affair.
Dagestan does not tell Mahorab how he knows but he opens for him a trap door on the floor of the hut telling the young king to get into it.
“You will get there through this door,” He tells Mahorab who gets in. Once he gets in, Sheikh Dagestan closes the trap door and now Mahorab is walking in a cave without realizing that he is walking into a magical portal into another world.
He comes to the other side to find another world. He walks for a while when he finds a man praying in a field saying “There is no God but Allah and Prophet Solomon is his messenger”.
Mahorab is in the Djinn land without realizing it.
He asks the man about the land of King Sehsah , the father of the first girl he saw in the room and the man tells him that it will take him ten years to get the land of King Sehsah.
The man leaves Mahorab desperate.
The Magic carpet by Viktor Vasnetov |
While Mahorab walks around he finds two boys fighting who ask him to come and judge between them.
It turns out that the boys lost their father and he left to them two things: A flying carpet and an invisibility cap.
Mahorab has an idea, he asks the boys to borrow the flying carpet and invisibility cap so he can reach the land of King Sehsah.
And the boys agree.
Mahorab gives the magic carpet the order to head to the land of King Sehsah.
Tomorrow night inshallah we will know where the magic carpet will take him.
A trivia: The invisibility cap or hamlet actually traces back to the Greek methodology
