Coronavirus on the Nile: 15 months of COVID-19 in Egypt in graphs

Another monthly post as part of the COVID-19 coverage in Egyptian Chronicles.

This time it is a quick look into COVID-19 numbers in Egypt after 15 months since its arrival to the country in February 2020.

Now we have got three months to compare with the numbers of 2020, specifically February, March and April.

From March 2021 to April 2021

The total numbers of official registered cases went up from March “ 19,707 cases” to April “25,421 cases” by 28.9%.

The total numbers of officially registered fatalities increased slightly from March “ 1,307 cases” to April  “ 1,344 cases” by 2.8%.

Meanwhile, the total number of officially registered recoveries went up from March “ 13,802 cases” to April “16,079 cases” by 16.5%

Comparing to April 2020

Now comparing to April 2020, the numbers went up for real without a doubt. We had nearly lockdown and restrictive rules than in April 2021.

The total numbers of official registered cases increased in  April 2021 “25,421 cases” comparing to April 2020 “4,827 cases” by 426.6% !!

The total numbers of official fatalities cases increased in April 2021 “1,344 cases” comparing to March 2020 “343 cases” by 292%.

The total numbers of official recoveries cases increased in April 2021 “16,079 cases” comparing to April 2020 “1,224 cases” by 1,214%.
